    [Humility] Unlocking the Unfinished Experiment

Well, I wasn't able to keep my promise. I began work on Humility's updated version, made some nice headway on it, and then...just...so much happened. But I'm not going to echo the same excuses. Stuff happened, and Humility sat incomplete, and...I keep thinking about it and feeling like I left part of my best work unfinished. I suppose that's true.

    [Ikusa] Original Novel

Not sure if this'll reach many people but I figure it's worth a shot. Hi! I know that a long, loooooong time ago, I was sharing some details on my game project. It started here, but continued in different ways and for

    Fullmetal Pony Resources

Seems I can't do anything right the first time. Well, here's the in-progress collection to every single resource, note, draft, scrap, and plan I had for FMP. This is everything except the private messages between me and Twilight Is The BEST. And even now I'm still not done cleaning and formatting all of the documents in it.

Voice Acting: Highlight Reel for Karasutengu

I was recently cast in a fandub for Inverted Crown Productions, in the role of Karasutengu, the villain. I got permission from the project director to make a reel of my performance, and it took me all afternoon to get it hosted properly. So:

    A Couple'a Silly Prompts

I asked my buddies in a Discord server to give me some writing prompts because I wanted to create without rules. They came up with two, and they seemed to like 'em. So, I'm gonna share them here too.

A prompt about that humpback whale found in the rainforest.

    And...

▲▼▲EMERGENCY HIATUS▲▼▲ · 11:21am Apr 14th, 2016

I was wrong. Things got worse. Things got much worse.

My bosses decided that I was making too much per hour for the work I'm assigned to do (grunt work). In other words, I was overqualified, and they brought in cheaper help from below me. After said help was trained and their collars fitted, they saw fit to lower my wage by over five-hundred dollars less per month.

I cannot keep my apartment on such a change.

I have enough saved to get me through the rest of my lease. And, in light of this change, my best friend, his immediate family, and I have agreed to seek out a new place to live for all of us, like we intended to do three years ago. However, the time constraints on me (about five weeks as of now) mean that I cannot, in good faith, devote time to my hobbies and desires. This is the real world looking to fuck me raw.

Well, I'll be damned if I bend over for this. For the time being until I can get settled, I'm forced to put all of my projects on emergency hiatus. This includes FMP, Humility, Talking, Ikusa, and anything involving gaming. I fully expect to be making calls to cancel/move my internet provider, which will mean my phone's data plan will become my only means of contact. Plus, depending on how much of my savings are drained during this transition, I'll likely need to change jobs or take on a second in order to keep up with payments.

This is not what I wanted. It's the last thing I wanted. But it's the hand I've been dealt. Just...fuck. Please bear with me.

Translation.

Boss 1: "Hey we're losing a small amount of money because of this one guy."

Boss 2: "I got an idea, let's use the oldest trick of overqualified bullshit to reduce this guys pay because he's way better at his job then we thought."

Boss 1: "Yeah, its not like we actually care for his well being and won't even care that we would be losing an asset for our assholeness to him."

Seriously, the 'overqualified' saying is one of the biggest excuse for not hiring or not paying the rightful amount of money the person deserves.

Happened to me years before. I looked for another job and when the time came I just left. I refused to give two weeks notice or train my replacement.
I'm guessing you weren't Union either.

3870237 I am, actually, but they weren't able to do anything. I went to my shop steward the day I heard about my pay shift, and she went to store director the day after. All I've heard back is that the director won't talk to the steward, but I can go to them personally. Thing is, the director and other important managers are all gone for the day by the time I can arrive.

It's not the first time they've pulled shit like this. I just didn't smell it early enough.

3871768 payscales are usually part of the contract and unless renegotiated can't just be changed. File a grievance and tell the stewards that if they won't do anything you will contact the union directly. I used to be a steward.

3871802 Unfortunately, it's not a change in payscale. It's a change in my employment level. They demoted me. Not my fault that they had me doing child's work; they refused to let me try out another area in my department and instead bumped me from a level 3 to a level 2. Ignoring the nine years of experience I have IN that area of the department.

3871928 your only hope is to start bidding out of the area or looking for a new job entirely.

3871992 Unless they do the other bullshit move of not recommending him for he wouldn't be able to get other jobs as easily and he'll have no chose to stay at his work.
