DC Cinematic Universe: Ben Affleck officially starring, directing and writing Batman solo film · 3:28am Apr 14th, 2016
Confirming what was already highly suspected, Warner Brothers has tapped Ben Affleck to not only direct the upcoming Batman solo film, but he will also write it as well.
Now, for all my problems with Batman v Superman (and trust me, I had a lot), I will say that Ben Affleck didn't give a bad performance from a purely acting level. Like much of the film, it was the screenwriting and direction that undermined him, mostly by created a Batman that only vaguely resembles Batman (think Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns instead of, say, DC Animated Universe).
But, no amount of my complaining is going to stop this, so I might as well just throw my hands up in surrender, and just hope that Suicide Squad is better, and hell, maybe even this is better.
But I'll admit I'm not exactly betting my money on this. But that's just me.
Given his other films (namely Argo and The Town as the two in recent memory for me), I think it's in good hands.
In the words of Han: "I've got a bad feeling about this."

3870710 I still have hopes for Suicide Squad. Looks fun.
