Happy International Day of Human Space Flight! · 12:03pm Apr 12th, 2016
Today is the 55th anniversary of the first manned flight into space.
On April 12th, 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first man to enter space, opening a new era for the whole humanity.
While we Russians are especially proud that a Soviet man was the first to fly beyond the atmosphere of Earth, it is impossible right now to explore space on one's own, and thus, cooperation between all space-faring countries is a must. So this is not merely a Russian holiday, but an international holiday.
Happy International Day of Human Space Flight!
Hooray for Russia! And space travel!
