I want an honest to god answer. It's alright if you suggest I don't read it, but please explain why first and don't say... whatever the hell is above me. The reason I'm asking is because this webcomic has been going strong for the past 7 years and I want to find out why. Is it good? Is it bad? Is it just as long as I think it is?
The reason I'm asking is because I want to have something to read when I'm feeling a bit lonely, and Homestuck seems like a nice comic to use to just get away from everything, y'know?
So please, tell me what Homestuck is about and if I should read it or not.
Homestuck is, in it's basic form, about 4 kids playing a game that goes downhill really fast and has A LOT of main characters as it progresses. That is my opinion on what it is.
As for reading it, it's tricky to say, but I would say yes. But if you do, most of the warnings are accurate to a degree when dealing with the FANDOM. The comic is a good read, but it is an investment.
So yes read it, but get ready for 4/13/2016. The fandom will blow up in one final uprising, and no one will be spared

I feel comic doesn't really describe homestuck, it's an adventure and a huge commitment to read.
I legitimately had to stop reading it because I was falling behind on stuff xD

3846684 Yeah. I'm glad it's almost over. Everything must come to an end, and this has gone on to long. Funny enough i entered around one of the mid to late major wave of new fans, about 4 years ago.
And yes, that sounds earlier, but the amount of hiatuses made it kinda late into the comic.

It is my firm opinion that, yes, you should read Homestuck. It gets a bad rep for the majority of its fanbase, but the comic itself is rather enjoyable, if not extremely complicated when not viewed linearly.
You should start ASAP in order to catch the final update on 4/13.
