    Well, color me impressed.

All 78 episodes on 2 discs, the translation is just as solid as the Hulu version, the subtitles are on by default, and they even translated the mid-episode character cards.

So I've been busy away from ponies... Again...

With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.

That story is now complete, and posted in its entirety over on AO3.

"Skyrim in a Game of Thrones sauce." · 1:07pm Mar 19th, 2016

Without a doubt, Witcher 3 has completely seized my free time. So I did a little research.

It's part of a Polish fantasy saga that began with a book in 1990, which spawned a sequel novel, a poorly-received film, mediocre television series, and finally, a trio of games, the third of which has become a roleplaying juggernaut.

"Skyrim in a Game of Thrones sauce," according to the developer.

Part of me feels bad that I got this game for free through NVIDIA's promotion, because developer CD PROJEKT RED, also the creator of GOG.com, is vehemently anti-DRM, and their policies are ones I'd love supporting, because without a doubt, Witcher 3 has put them on the map.

The game's definitely awesome and also time-consuming but hey, which good RPG isn't like that, right?

So, no more Halo screenshots then?

If you can, I'd recommend reading the books. I just finished reading them myself, including fan translations of the ones that have yet to be released in North America. They are well worth the read, especially since witcher 3 takes a lot of its characters from them.

3815739 No, I did it for two weeks, and a big reason for that is Brady won't get off the Xbox. He's playing The Division like, a lot.

3816122 Ah another interesting game. Have a colleague who's playing it, looks interesting. It's a shooter with RPG-elements regarding the weapons, right? Kind of like Borderlands or Destiny?

3816160 I've watched him play and have no desire to touch it. I find myself agreeing with the 6/10 and 7/10 reviews rather than the 8 or 9's.

But for me what it boils down to, is I refuse to touch a TOM CLANCY game with bullet sponges. End of story.

3816271 Wow, okay, that sounds bad. Lately shooters aren't anymore what they supposed to be. Destiny was disappointing, Borderlands awesome but gets boring, the latest Call of Duty Black Ops 3 doesn't excite me anymore and Battlefield is unplayable ...

Just my opinion though. And either I'm too critical or I'm getting (or already am) old :rainbowlaugh:

3816299 What I enjoy most about Witcher 3 is the combat, and how I'm not automatically good at it.

In Skyrim I was always a spellsword; longsword in right hand, healing spell in the left. I just tanked my way through most major battles.

But situational awareness is so important in Witcher 3. Even at level 9, I find myself getting surrounded by level 4 and 5 drowners and get picked apart.

3816302 Situational awareness, reminds me of Bloodborne for PS4. Unforgiving and challenging but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty cool. Enemies might kill you easily when you're sloppy but it's also the other way around.

And tanking sure is cool. Altough I don't know how it's in Skyrim since I haven't played it. I can only describe what it's like in Final Fantasy 14 and I like it. Also helps when you play with good people.
