Patreon and My Thoughts · 3:40am Mar 12th, 2016
All these people recently are getting patreon accounts... That's fine, nothing wrong with that. However, they're creating patreon accounts for writing fan fiction... Fan fiction. I understand if they were writing ORIGINAL fiction. Like, writing their own books and characters, but instead they're making a profit off of already existing characters and putting them in unlikely situations *cough*clopfics*cough* and I can't understand that. Fan fictions aren't worth cash. They're not worth a dollar if anything. Perhaps ORIGINAL fiction is worth something, but fan fictions? Please, I beg to differ.
Will I ever open a patreon? Probably, but you best know I'll open it for my original fiction and not some fan fiction I tell you what.
I have a Patreon for my music if that counts. :p
3803896 That's fine. If it's original and you know, is worth something more than a silly erotic fan fiction between Rainbow Dash and Twilight
(I'm looking at you, Abyss)
Then it's totally fine.
3803897 Yep, it is for my own original music.
3803898 Then props to you! That's the kind of patreon I'm talking about. The kind that SHOULD be supported and talked about. Not fan fiction.
3803901 Huzzah! My creative efforts are appreciated!
I agree.
Besides, isn't that against copyright or some legal jazz?
3804278 I think it's legal since it falls under the parody or mockumentary law.

im laughing because the of the word "mock" being in that word.
still, though.
