New Story from and old story.

As I mention before I had put Like a Dream on hiatus because I wasn't happy with the results, or the direction it was going. The story is now going in an entirely new direction. And once again I would like to share a sneak peek of the new first chapter. As before this hasn't been edited yet but I still think you will enjoy it:

It was a world like a giant ocean. Black, and featureless. Except for the constant motion of the waves rolling their way towards infinity. their was nothing else to see.

Princess Luna broke through the surface of the almost liquid, almost smoke. She could feel the Nightmare Moons grabbing her, taunting and laughing as they ripped and tore at her, trying to pull her back down. Giggling the legion toyed with their prey. Chanting their intentions with gleeful maliciousness, gloating with the knowledge that she was helpless to them. Knowing full well what would happen if she went down under again.

Limbs, horns, and wings broke the syrupy surface around her as they circled her. Whispering all the things they will do once she becomes one with them again. They reminded her of the things she said she would do once she ruled Equestria. Promises of power and pleasures were whispered in her ear as she fought the mess, fought the panic inside her. Feeling like she was going to lose everything she had fought so hard to gain. She paddle in a directionless course, unable to find anyway out of the nightmare she was in.

"This was my fault. I'm sorry for that." said a feminine voice ending inside her. Avoiding her ears entirely. "I was curious so I went deeper than I should have. I didn't know you had such dreams."

Their was something on the outside of the reality, but it was here with her looking at her. She could feel it, a strange and alien presence.

"I notice you are also afraid." the voice said again. "To tell the truth I'm afraid as well. I'm afraid of who I am, afraid of what I am, afraid of nothing, afraid of everything."

Twisting he head around Luna saw it. A form starting to take shape, walking upright on its hind legs the transparent image with the gold aura began to change shape. From two, now it walked on four legs as it continued on talking growing, changing its shape, sporting horns and wings. "I'm afraid of being alone. I'm afraid of not being alone. I'm always afraid." said the almost mirror image of Nightmare Moon standing on the almost water, almost smoke. Save for the eyes. White empty eyes that saw without anger or malice, saw everything and nothing at the same time. And her cutie mark a full moon with three stars in the center. She stood their watching Princess Luna struggle against the other nightmare moons. On the shoulder of this new Nightmare Moon was a tiny Celestia mutely watching it all. I feel you are just as afraid as me. It said. "My name is Mercy, lets be afraid together." it talked. Just as the other Nightmare Moons reared out of the water to pull her under.
