I am REALLY bad at finishing things that I start · 6:34pm Feb 21st, 2016

Hello to any of you who might actually be following me,

As you might be aware, in the 4 years I have been on this website, I have only posted 3 stories, and even then both of those were in my first year of 2012

I've actually tried new stories, I hnestly have at least 4 different fics in the beginning stages of writing, but I can't complete even the first chapters of any of them. Since 2012, when I started university, my capability to remain focused enough to pursue creative talents on the side of Engineering Degree have proven...difficult

Maybe I'll finish one of them at some point. I just need to keep the inspiration going for long enough

Hey. Don't feel bad about it, man.

I spend a lot of my time procrastinating too, but I eventually come back with a story that shakes the foundation of the website.

Don't give up, and keep moving forward. That way, you can strive for greatness.

3768554 Thanks, Shadowmane. Also, hi and sorry I haven't said anything to you since Bronycon.

Well, after writing this, I decided to grab one of the fics I was decently finished with a chapter, and have been writing for the last 1 and a half hours. Thermofluid Worksheets? Bugger that, I can do that tomorrow! First time I've had a spark of inspiration in months!

Sorry I haven't said anything to you since Bronycon.

It's fine. We've all been there.

Right now, I've actually started a petition to bring back the Shadowbolts from Friendship Games for the next movie.

The link's here if you want to sign it: https://www.change.org/p/hasbro-bring-back-the-shadow-six

Starting with that blank page in front of you is always the hardest. Ideas will come in their own good time. :ajsmug:

As will graduation, and the long period between getting your degree and getting your first job. Plenty of time for fanfictions then :trollestia:

3768771 I'm not sure if this is gonna work, though I'll give it a sign. I'm of the "let the writers do their thing, they haven't disappointed us yet" camp.

However, I will say that I'd love to see more of the Shadowbolts for EqG 5, becuase I'm sure the script for EqG 4 has probably already been finalised

3768779 Blank Page, thy is my sworn enemy and yet thy is also the workpiece which my lathe shall carve my masterpiece.

I've stared at and carved 4 halfway jobs so far, and I'm trying to restart one of them. So far, it's working.

Also, I hope that period between graduating and getting my first job isn't too long. I need to get it fast because I won't be able to stay in the UK otherwise, and I definetely do not want to go back home to my family. As much as I love them, I quite like the independence from them, thank you. I'm not sure how I'd feel if they came with my if I got sucked into Equestria a la your masterpiece, which I'm actually reading for a second time atm

3768865 Well, an engineering degree should give you quite a few options. I graduated in July and I'm still job hunting. :applecry: I've got another interview tomorrow though. :derpyderp2:

3769945

Yeah, I'm grateful for that, hopefully it will mean I get employed straight out of the gate.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear you've been job hunting since July, but good luck to you with your interview tomorrow. What degree did you graduate with?

3769968 I have a 2:1 BSc Econ (Hons) in International Politics and Strategic Studies. :scootangel: It serves as a great all rounder for business and military jobs. I'm just stuck in the experience paradox. :fluttercry:

3770065 Wow, cool Degree, and congrats on the 2:1 as well. I hope I can graduate with that in Aerospace Engineering in a year's time, though my coursework and exams are trying to say "you're gonna have to put up a fight":derpytongue2:

Yeah, the experience thing seems to always be the first sticking point. I've already got a year thanks to my sandwich industrial placement, but that' still no guaruntee of a job out of the gate. Hopefully your interview tomorrow will finally be able to get your hoof in the door. Always makes me happy hearing people I know finally make that progression from Student to White Collar worker.

Sometimes I wish our unis were like the US where you can do minors in other subjects in addition to your major. Would've loved to do Economics and Geopolitics

3770092 We do have the nice benefit of not having to pay for anything until we make £21,000 pa though. And the government writes off the leftover after 30 years. :trollestia:

3770252 That is very, very true. The fee cap and repayment structure is a good system compared to the seriously criminal system the yanks have:derpytongue2:

Also, as a foreign student my fees are 18,500 quid annually for tuition. So...yeah:pinkiecrazy:
