Don't let people stop you from using creativity. Some may be bad, some may be dreadful, but that's the thing with creativity. You create ways to make it even better. That's the creative truth.

My Thoughts On Religion · 3:59pm Feb 16th, 2016

WARNING: This blog talks about religion and my beliefs. If you are sensitive to religious material or subject, PLEASE DON'T READ! You've been warned.

So... religion... This is a bit of a bigger subject than I expected when I was young. Now yes, I do know religion does tend to cause problems with others, for example the religion fights in Middle East, but I just want all to know what I think about it.

It's kinda ridiculous. :P BUT, I don't have anything against those who do believe in any god. Whether it'd be Mohammad, God, or anyone else. I am an atheist, and a good one. I don't want to bash or threaten people because they believe in someone is kind of their idol. Now as much as I'd like to say that he is an imaginary man in the sky, like George Carlin would say, there's something that boggles me, too.

I am an atheist, yet at the same time, I believe there could be a God. Any, I mean. Though I do tend to think, I still don't believe in such people and things. I mean, some stuff in the Bible is kinda... silly. Like Moses splitting an entire river. Plus, if there was a God, wouldn't he fix some of this stuff up? Murder, cancer, disease, and even the huge religious war that has been going on for centuries?

Now, please don't take it too harshly. if you are a huge religious person, I don't think less of you. I really don't. I still respect you either way. And if you don't believe, I don't take you any better. You're still the same to me. And yes, I know some atheists are out there who tend to be an ass about the subject of religion. Therefore, they get almost killed. I don't want to do that, nor do I want that to happen to anyone. There are some crazy religious people, like the one guy who said God made the Paris Bombing (he's on Youtube), but not all are bad.

And another thing that scares me, is family. My family is Catholic. Not deep Catholic, but they are Catholic. My grandma especially. I tend to NOT read the Bible, but she wants me to. We don't go to church, and don't do too much religious stuff, but my grandma keeps talking about some religious stuff, and I'm scared to go up and say 'I don't believe'. So, that's not good on my part. Like, I think Lent (or whatever the don't eat meat thing is called) is a little silly, too. So, I dunno.

But again, I am an atheist who stills respects religion. A bit of an odd one, too, come to the fact I believe I may be wrong and there is a God (which again, he should at least show us he's there, right?). But please, don't hate me or think I'm a bad guy, cause I respect religion either way. Whether you're Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or any other kind. I still respect you, and care for you.

That is all. Love ya, mates!

(P.S. This is not too get attention like a you-know-what, but I just wanted to let it out there.)

I Don't Have Anything Against You. And I Respect yah Too.

Well I am Christian and I know why God is doing this.

3758380 Well, if you believe it, I don't mind. I hope you aren't bothered by my choice. Again, there might be a God and I'm probably wrong.

3758387 Well he gave us freewill.

3758399 Again, I dunno. You may be right. But for now, I'm just gonna keep my side on atheism.

3758401 Have you heard the city of Avaris?

I don't mind. I'm Christian and I actually do have some atheist friends.

3758419 Good. Again, I don't intend to hurt any religious people's feelings. I'm glad you're fine with this.

The Emperor is the one true god. THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Christian myself (have been for sliiiiiightly over 50 years), but I'm the type who, like you, respects the beliefs of others.

(Unless they're extremist idiots of whatever stripe (like ISIL). Then all bets are off.)

And there's bad apples in every race, creed or religion... like you yourself said.

Or, to put it another way (and which is my own personal philosophy):

"I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

That's the way I think we all should be, really.

I am .... and I do follow ... But I am eclectic and follow no one belief system, but several, I do believe there is something bigger, but what "it" is, I have no clue, I do not believe "it" has plans of anysort for us, that is up to us entirely, we want "heaven" we make "heaven" we want "hell" we make "hell" it is pretty apparent to me how we chose, considering all the wars over land and religion.

I do believe "the good book" is just a book, like any other and is not the word of any being "divine" or otherwise.

I am a spiritualist.

3758472 Yeah. I don't want to cause trouble. As I think it's a little silly, I don't think less of those who believe and don't think higher of those who agree with me. Listen to Carlin:

Religion is like a pair of shoes...
Find one that fits for you,
But don't make me wear your shoes.

And plus, he's an atheist, too.

3758479 I know.
And thank you for that.

And you know, that's very wise. Carlin is a pretty smart guy.

Really? Did not know that, but I love him as a comedian. His stuff really tickles my funny bone, and that's why I love him both as a person and an entertainer.

Doesn't matter to me if he's a person of faith are not. He's a good, funny guy.

everyone deserves an opinion. I won't judge.

I don't hate you. Everybody has an opinion, so I won't judge.

I'm an atheist, too. So I know the struggle of having to put a disclaimer before anything you say that's even remotely religious. But if you are put off by reading the Bible, don't be. In fact, I heard a saying once: "The road to atheism is littered with Bibles read cover to cover." There's no better way to become an atheist than to actually read the Bible. Besides, for those who intend to use the Bible to further their ow bigoted ideals, it's a good idea to know the enemy better than he knows himself.

So, in short: you're not alone.

See, you have the right idea; not judging another's belief. Something that MANY people of all religions do not understand.

Also, I say you tell your grandma about your belief. Tell her why, for one, but also tell her that you still love her, despite opposing beliefs. Trust me, do it now and get it out of the way.

3758407 Is that what they renamed Varrock after Arrav protected it from demons?

If I were to believe in any deity, it would be Zaros from Runescape :D

3759444 Avaris or better known as Goshen.

3759605 nope, sorry

3759635 It was the new capital of Egypt in ancient times.

Being able to be civil about your views is good! But I'm a Christian, and part of the deal there is that I hope to act and speak in a way that would bring others around to it too. I know not everyone will, but I think God offers us something we need, and I want people to benefit from that, especially people I'm friends with.

But I come at it from a Lutheran perspective, where we've got a ~500-year head start on nitpicking Catholic theology. So I'm with you on that, at least. :derpytongue2:
