Something Worth Sharing · 8:49pm Feb 15th, 2016
So a friend of mine shared this interesting piece on Facebook. The title pretty much speaks for itself, so I'll be brief.
Often I find myself engaging in what I like to call "should-ing myself to death". Basically playing an elongated game of "shoulda, woulda, coulda" in other words, thinking about all the things I should have, would have, or could have done in my life in hindsight.
Of course, as we all know hindsight is 20/20. And I should know from my years of experience that thinking about the past or considering my life in hindsight is unhealthy. But everyone does it at one time or another. It's part of human nature to evaluate what we have done in the past, normally as a way to improve the future.
There are times, however, when doing this is a true detriment.
