Griffonstone, when it was released, caused me a lot of pain. It tore large swaths through my headcanon on griffons, as well as future story canon. For a long time I defiantly clung to the hopes that I could just pretty much ignore it, give a nod to it, or otherwise bypass it in my story.
At the same time I was working on "Pandemonium in Ponyville." I wrote a lot of words, but frankly they were not up to standard. The idea was sound, and the Discord elements were okay, but overall it was very boring to read. The biggest problem was the whole reason for Pandemonium was to lead into what I was doing for the King Piercing Crest arc.
Well, I finally gave in an threw it all out(so many words). With that came a liberation and a bunch of ideas with how the story could continue. I started to write this story again, and enjoy what I was writing.
Which leads me to today. Chapter 10 is *FINISHED*. It isn't the largest chapter by any means, but it is what it should be.
That said, I will be spending the next few hours editing. If anyone wants to pre-read it, this is the time to ask me.
