Tough announcement regarding Momentum and Zero · 7:52am Jan 26th, 2016
Ok, going full-klaxon warning mode. This is a BAD NEWS post. tl;dr, it's a dual story cancellation.
If you're gonna leave an angry comment, please at least hear me out.
You might be yelling "But Talguy! You already wrote Momentum and Zero!" If so, you'd be right. And as a good number of you know from my blog posts so far, Momentum in particular has been done since before I had even finished posting Mirrors. I even finished Zero some time last spring.
I had originally wanted to post them, to complete the 'trilogy' I'd started with Mirrors. But a while ago, I took Mirrors into my writer's workshop- specifically Chapter 2. I looked it over, and I couldn't believe how bad it was. Sloppy scene descriptions, bland dialogue, a pointless Pinkie Pie cameo that was disruptive more than funny, and the cringe worthy so-called-comedy resulting from it. My friends in the workshop more or less echoed that sentiment. Afterwards, I analyzed the plot and writing of both sequel stories, and they're somehow worse off. I'm massively dissatisfied with the quality of my writing. Momentum specifically needs to be completely rewritten to be anything resembling a decent story.
Due to the heavy revisions both stories would need, and the unlikeliness of me actually doing such, I'm cancelling the release of both of them. I'm also making the preview bit at the end of Mirrors non-canon, to line up with this. I'm giving Dawn and Entropy their happy ending.
This is also a warning that following me probably isn't a good idea if you're looking for new stories. I'm just not that reliable a writer, I'm afraid.
