So here I am venting some irritation I had about a certain fanbase's reaction to a certain game being released and I realized.... THIS EXACT SAME SHIT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE.
The game in question is being panned so far for being unable to be at least as good as it's predecessors and it's studio has been getting told repeatedly that it's going to flop. Now tell me.... what does that sound like? Metroid Prime Federation Force.... or Metroid Prime?

Sad thing is, you ain't wrong. And it's been the reaction to pretty much every game after Super Metroid. Now don't get me wrong, I've played Super Metroid, it's a damn good game for the SNES, and a damn good game in general, fucking Ridley aside, but, it's not perfect. For one, you lose health when Shinesparking. Second, sequence breaking is far too easy. However, that doesn't mean fans get to bitch and moan about every single game after. Fusion and Zero Mission were good, the Prime Trilogy was good. I can understand trepidation after how Other M went, but, outright panning it and saying it'll flop just because it looks different is stupid, petty and stupidly petty. I'm sure it'll be fine.
