[ I lost my sister today. It took about half a day. She started as Apple Bloom, and ended as some kind of mutant dog. ]
It makes absolutely no sense. Why would something like this happen? Is it magic? Because in movies and fairytales, magic can always go backwards, but if this is science...
I have to ask Twilight about this, first thing tomorrow. She has to know.
I...I don’t want to write anymore about it. This is Apple Family business, and nobody else needs to know our business but us. Not even you, Diary. I’m only bringing in that CPA student because not to do so would be the same as giving up.

...I’m really beginning to regret that interview now.
Updated Author's Notes: In Bloom Filter, this covers the best part of the story. Apple Bloom starts turning into an unknown animal, and nobody knows what to do. By the end, when Bloom goes to sleep, she and everybody else is convinced that when she wakes up, she won't have a human intellect, as she's become too small to have a human brain anymore. Of course what happens after this chapter is that she wakes up as an earth pony filly.
