A "Once a Month" Deal · 12:20am Jan 8th, 2016
So I've been thinking about my story. I have zero intentions on giving up on it, but I'm not a seasoned writer that can push out story after story, either. Maybe because I'm writing an epic over a short story, maybe because I want quality, I can't say in comparison to the submitted stories of others. All I know is that in real life, between hanging out with my friends, schoolwork, and other that other stuff that exists in "reality," I don't always have the time to sit down and write.
So that is why I wanna do something where, for the time being, I at least get out one chapter a month; two if I'm especially productive. I've currently got Chapter 2 of The Coltic Prince ready to publish, but I've yet to push the protagonist out the door. I have, however, introduced the conflict. I think I'll want to add more to the story so that way the protagonist is right out the door and chapter three can continue on from there. It shouldn't take too much longer to add... I dunno. Three page worth to it? Chapter 2 currently has 12 pages, or 4,492 words for those not familiar with the format I've adjusted my Word.
I've got about a week to keep up with my personal deadline, as the prologue and chapter 1 were publish Dec. 14th. I'm excited to put this chapter out due to the introduction of the conflict within the story. Prologue and chapter 1 were dull, but a starting point as I wanted to establish the "ordinary world." To advertise, I want something to catch readers' attention; the conflict. With chapter 2's release, I hope to advertise with something more worthy to hook people in.
For now, that's all I've gotta say. Keep warm out there, people!
