    Oh Goodness

So, it would seem that I fell out of touch writing my story. Probably was stretching myself too thin, honestly. I was going really gung-ho on this story that I was essentially just sprinting; pushing a lot out in a short time, but not for in the long run.

    Sicker than a Dog

Oh my god. Since past Saturday, I've just been absolutely fucking sick. This is the worst that the flu has ever been kicking my teeth in. I'm thankfully on the mend right now. Two days ago, I was still barely keeping food down, just slowly sipping water, ginger ale, and antibiotics. Since yesterday, I've been feeling marginally better. I mean, I'm still hot enough to cook eggs off of and still

    Revisions

The other day, as I was adding chapter 2 and doing some advertising of my story, I found that my tale was added to a couple groups. Unfortunately, they were essentially shame groups about how much a given story sucks. One group was called "Absolutely Disgusting." It was placed in a sub category for terrible pacing. I was never notified of my story being added to any groups, so I don't know when

Chapter Two Is Out! · 12:52am Jan 14th, 2016

I'm excited about my release of my second chapter in my story, The Coltic Prince! I know my first chapter and prologue were a bit dull as I set the ordinary world, but I'm proud with how I introduced conflict into the story by the second chapter and the characters' responses to said given conflicts. I really didn't want to start presenting my story widely to the site until I felt like I had something to draw them in, as I mentioned in some past blogs. It was filled with everyday occurrences, nothing too significant to pull people in. Sure, it'll be important later on in retrospect as Keldeo looks back at his old way of life and wishes he could return to it, but we won't better appreciate that until later in the tale. Just an average day is just not something to hook people in, y'know?

But now that I've introduced that conflict, things are that much more interesting to read. I hope when people get through the second chapter, their interest has been caught and look forward to what is to happen next in the third chapter. I also hope the character dynamics are also endearing, that you can just tell how much these characters mean to one another. Had to focus on developing Celestia, Keldeo, and Stoic Dust in this chapter, with Twilight being mostly neglected (but not forgotten). Keep in mind that Twilight is not going to be a major character in this story; she's support. Very important, but support.

Still, I went about and advertised a little bit, with plenty of aid from my editor and proof reader, Jay. Advertising isn't full steam ahead, but I hope it is enough to get some more views and lure people in with promise of a story that plans to deliver. I've been planning this for quite some time, well over a year, and drafted out character ideas, a full arch that follows out the hero's journey, and so much more.

But this is me rambling. I hope good things are to come! I'll keep posted as I progress with chapter three!
