Good god I'm back, and Bear Grylls shall once again taste the sweetness that is his urine · 9:17pm Aug 18th, 2012

So I have a lot of Bear Grylls fans out there, and I felt super bad about leaving you all behind ._. I went to my training (A military training, by the way, so I just got done with my celebratory wank, yay me (If you don't know what that is, don't look it up (Yeah, I know you're not going to listen to me, click here))) and discovered that I'm addicted to ponies ._. That's okay, though, because I know all of you are as well, so we can suffer together :D Anyways, I told everyone there that I watched ponies, and they made fun of me, but meh, whatever, I kind of expected that XD We had to carry around fake rifles wherever we went (We had to sleep with them as well O_O Yeah, it was uncomfortable, but awesome), and I named mine Fluttershy<3 It was strangely comforting, in a way...hm.

Anyways, the news all of you want; I'll be continuing Bear Grylls in a little while. Because of that madre forking training, I'm 3 days late for school this year, so I have a bit of catching up to do -_- But fear not, Kameraden, for soon we shall-

Oh, wait, hang on,

Aaah, much better.

-for soon we shall empty our bladders into our mouths and obtain the juicy rewards!

Hooyah?

Huh. Fluttershy as a rifle name. HOW QUAINT AND ODD

Awww yes you're coming back :pinkiehappy: , well i better go and spank my frank :trollestia:

295840 I found it really weird but comforting...when we slept with our rifles, even though it was a really cold piece of metal, I would hug it like it was my $20 Taiwanese whore :rainbowderp: It hurt because the carrying handle would jut into my chest and I almost poked my eye out with the front sight, but it helped me sleep somehow :twilightblush:

US Sea Cadets, eh? Well, I've done extensive stuff with the British Armed Forces, though not so much with the Royal Air Force, unfortunately. Boy, I could tell some stories about the stuff I've done :rainbowlaugh:

475061 Like what? Whenever I tell anyone my stories, I end up rambling on about my achievements and then they slowly and awkwardly move away :trixieshiftleft: I try not to talk about them much :twilightblush:

476355 Well, where to begin? :pinkiecrazy: I've piloted a nuclear submarine as part of a family day event (HMS Tireless, Trafalgar class) and tested the weapons systems on it, plugging in coordinates and doing dry launches (Everything but firing). It was bloody awesome, and we got free bacon sarnies! :rainbowwild:

Did my WEx with the British Army, spending a week on a Royal Signallers' camp (Blandford) doing a mock Basic 1 event. Spending a night on the Salisbury Plain ranges, sleeping with my L96A1 under a makeshift bivvy, doing fire and manoeuvre exercises at 01:00 while being hunted by MOD alsatians and 'SAS' personnel that were supposedly helping out. No SAS, although my team got captured by a Gurkha while we were about 20ft away from the objective. It was pretty bloody interesting!

476481 Nice! I made this blog a while back once I had completed marksmanship training  It wasn't as good as my other trainings, but it was alright. We mostly used M4s and M16s at the range, but I prefer the M4 because of its adjustable stock...the M16's stock is like a fucking foot long :ajbemused: Er, I don't know if British people measure in feet...whatever, you get the point :twilightblush: Mmm, about a month before I did that, I went to Maritime Interdiction training in Oregon, where I learned about Coast Guard operations. We got to go to an army base where they had a whole fake town to practice our room clearing/hostage negotiation skills, but I was grouped with a bunch of meat heads, so we had to do pushups every time they fucked up :trixieshiftleft: Let's see, before that I did Seabee training, where we got over 40 hours of community service taking down and reconstructing a few buildings. That was pretty cool, and before that I did 9 days of real Navy basic training to show me what it's gonna be like when I enlist...oh Jesus, those POs were terrible :twilightoops: But I suppose that's how they're supposed to be :unsuresweetie:

Woah, that wasn't even all of the stuff I did at those trainings and it took up a huge paragraph...I understand if you decided tl;dr :scootangel:

477081

but I was grouped with a bunch of meat heads, so we had to do pushups every time they fucked up

I know that feel. When I was on work experience, we all had to be out, dressed and shit-sharp by 06:30 or we'd receive 5 laps of our accommodation block with full kit on. The last ten runners would also need to do 25 push-ups with gear on :rainbowlaugh: Basically, if you ran slowly, you were fucked for the rest of the day! We'd also get 20 push-ups if our rigle was ever more than 5 feet away from us on ex. :twilightangry2:

477107 Haha, at my Maritime Interdiction training (The Coast Guard one) you'd have a pistol in holster with you at all times, and if anyone stole your pistol, you'd have to do pushups :rainbowlaugh: It happened to me once, then I just put my hand on my holster at all times to make sure nobody tried to steal it :ajsmug: I'm pretty tall, and they organized what group you were in (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie) by your height, so, of course, I got grouped with all the dipshit soccer players :facehoof:

I'll have to apologize, because I don't know anything about the British military, but were you enlisted or was this a civilian program? :rainbowhuh:

477213 Civilian programme. We're required to do one week's work experience to prepare ourselves for the 'working world' and the British Army/Navy/Royal Air Force run WEx (Recruitment) events to put potential new recruits through a mock Basic 1 regime. Assault courses, trim trails, CQB simulators, time on the ranges and F&M exercises all make up parts of it

477218 Sounds similar to mine :rainbowkiss: We do a lot of naval stuff, but there are a few infantry-esque trainings we can do :pinkiehappy: I don't go to any of those because they attract a lot of meat heads :ajbemused: Are you joining the military when you're older, or are you thinking about something else?

477269 Nah, now I'm debating joining the Police Force. The military is great and all, but I'm officer-grade and I really don't fancy doing Sandhurst. I'll leave that to the more... muscle-bound athletes. I have the mind, but I'll absolutely hate the physical training.

477283 I'm thinking about law enforcement too, but it's so hard to get into...I'll probably try to be in the military police
