Friendly reminder that I swear, occasionally.
2015 was a bad year for me, as far as writing goes. I would make the excuse that everyone else makes when they can't focus on writing, "life got in the way", but I personally don't like making excuses.
I was lazy as fuck and just didn't commit enough time to it, and that's definitely something that I hope that I can correct for 2016. The last few days I've dedicating some time every day to work on the story that I've been pecking away at, once in a blue moon, for the past year. It's not much, just an hour every day, but I'm hoping that with a little bit of perseverance and diligence I can finally work my way up to the two hours of writing a day that I've been telling myself that I'm going to do eventually.
That all being said, I will say that the new story I'm working on is mostly done with the composition phase, but that the last part is giving me a bit of trouble. It's a story that I'm definitely going to finish, and hopefully finish relatively soon, but getting the wording down and figuring out the posturing is very important for this particular piece. I'm convinced that if I don't do it just right that it will be a chore to read, and I don't want people to have to suffer to appreciate my horse words.
Also, speaking of things that are a chore to read, I definitely want to start working on the new revisions for An Investigation Into Chaos again. I've thought a lot about the way the story is presented, and I think I could do a lot better with it. I want to spend some time working on that and fixing the chapters that I already have posted, as well as do some work on the general framework of the story itself.
That being said, I might end up adding a few chapters to it. It will still be the same basic story, just with a slightly clearer focus and a more cohesive narrative, so it won't be strictly necessary to read them whenever they get published. I'll make sure to announce that as well, when that happens.
Actually, I also wanted to say that I'm totally open to collaboration as well. I've only done some minor collaborations with a couple of authors on this site, and my contributions were pretty minor, but I'd definitely love it if someone wanted to get in touch with me about anything. I really don't care all that much what it is, I actually just want to work with someone on anything at this point, though I don't really feel comfortable enough in my ability to put myself out there in any of the editing/revision/proofreading groups that already exist.
I guess what I'm saying is, that if you wanted to work with me on anything, be it something that you're writing or if you want to try to get in on the ground floor of something that I'm working on personally, that I'm one hundred percent open to the idea. Just shoot me a message and we'll go from there. Same thing goes for anyone really, if you know someone who really, really needs some help, then maybe you can consider shooting them in my direction about it.
I mean, I sincerely doubt that anyone would want to work with me considering that I'm a flagrant asshole, but I digress...
On a related note, I did mean what I said about seeking assistance for the story I'm working on now. Once I get the whole thing composed and put it through a revision to clean up the more glaring flaws, I'll definitely be reaching out to everyone and everyone who is interested in helping out to make sure that T.W.S.H. is the best story it can possibly be.
So, in conclusion, I'm really fucking awful at writing blogs because I don't want to make them about me and I really don't have much to say other than I'm trying my best not to be dead, that and I would love to collaborate with anyone on anything. Other than that, thanks for following me and thanks for reading this. I know I didn't have all that much of importance to say, but it is kind of nice to know that someone might read it, even though the concept of writing this to no one would be a lot more romantic.

P.P.S. I can draw about as well as I can write, which is to say that I can't do either. Don't know why I decided to put this part on, but I did it a while ago and I thought I would share. I fully intend to follow my dreams of drawing the cover art for T.W.S.H. but I might just commision something for it instead.
