The Cutie Re-Mark: Deleted Scene · 3:52am Nov 29th, 2015
This was originally going to be it's own other fanfic, but I got the feeling someone else is already going to post it tonight or tomorrow, and this is relatively short. Minor spoilers ahead. F.Y.I., Great finale, especially with the alternate timelines.
Twilight and Spike stared down against Starlight Glimmer. Both Alicorn and Dragon have seen the different timelines of what would happen if the Sonic Rainboom never came, all of which are horrible in their own way. Even after telling Starlight the dangers of affecting the past, even the smallest action will have great consequences on everyone. Starlight didn't listen, blasting the filly Rainbow Dash with her magic, causing the cyan pegasus to scream in pain while falling. Right above Twilight, another wormhole came, sucking her and Spike in.
"I don't know how other ponies friendships are to the future," Twilight spoke "But I can show you what the future is without mine!" She tackled Starlight and both were sucked into the wormhole.
The two mares opened their eyes to see rows of homes, all looking the same with very little to no variation. The sky was mysteriously a clear blue, with the sounds of birds chirping, and everything looked... peaceful
"Where are we!?" Starlight demanded
"The Future." Twilight answered, sounding down "Or rather, the present."
"Why does everything look so... peaceful?" Spike asked. Both Twilight and Starlight looked around.
"I... I don't know."
"Ha! See? Everything's fine!" Starlight gloated.
"No, nothing's right! Spike, we saw all of the different timelines, didn't we?"
"Uh... I think so." Spike answered "Sombra, Chrysaliss, Nightmare Moon, Discord. That's just the main ones, Did we land in a timeline where-?"
"Starlight!?" A voice asked. Turning around, they saw what was Double Diamond, Sugar Belle, Night Glider, and Party favor together, but instead of looking like their original selves when Twilight and her friends left the small town, they look like everypony else when they first arrived to Starlight's town.
"Look everypony!" Double Diamond announced "Starlight Glimmer's back!" As if on cue, every door opened and everypony peeked out, all with the same mane & equal cutie mark, and cheered, running out to greet Starlight. Both Spike and Twilight stared at the scene, and then to each other.
"Three cheers to Starlight Glimmer!" Night Glider yelled "For the pony who united all nations together under one flag!"
"What!?" Twilight yelled in shock. Everypony around cheered, tossing Starlight into the air three times. Starlight's facial expression went from shock, to complete happieness. Tears fell down her face as she cried in joy.
"I-I did this!?" she asked, sniffling now "I brought everypony together... under my flag?"
"You did, Starlight!" Party Favor replied. "With all those other fools gone, battling each other for dominance over the world, we stayed together under your rule and allowed them to weaken themselves before we struck them down! Who'd knew that the most powerful beings in Equestria were nothing to our combined might!"
"No!" Twilight yelled, running to Starlight "This sin't right! Starlight, you have to believe us, this isn't the right path!"
"But it is, Twilight." an all too familiar, motherly voice spoke. Twilight turned, but jumped, seeing Celestia with the same manestyle and cutie mark as everypony else.
"P-Princess!?"
"Princess was my old title, Twilight. I am now but a common pony, like everyone else here."
"But you can't give up! Who'll move the sun!?"
"Oh Twilight, we have a machine that moves the sun 24/7! I was an awful pony back then; not only am I older than everypony else, but I've done terrible things to kept Equestria 'safe'. Do you know what I've done when I'm not protecting Equestria?"
"... Move the sun and make sure everything is fine?"
"No! I just sat on my throne, ate cake while others starve, and occasionally moved the sun when I felt like it. Why, if it wasn't for Starlight, not only would I be stressed out, but I'd never see my sister again!"
"It's true." Luna spoke, walking in with the same manestyle and cutie mark. "I was foolish to believe that, as Nightmare Moon, Night would last forever. Plants can't live without the sun, but I just wanted ponies to admire my night. Starlight helped us see everypony's mistakes." Twilight backed up, trembling in fear.
"N-No!" she spoke "This can't be!" She bumped into the Discord of this timeline, who was, though still mismatched, all his parts transitioned into each other and looked much more tame.
"Join us~." He spoke with the creepy smile everyone had. "Starlight made me realize that my chaos was never meant to be. Chaos is bad, but order is good."
"No! Discord! That's not you! You're suppose to be-" She bumped into Sombra.
"Starlight made me realize that I was a terrible pony and my parents would be disappointed." He spoke with a very normal voice. "Also, I can talk!" Twilight backed away.
"Uh... that's great and all, but I have to-"
"Taking away ponies abilities is bad," Tirek spoke, walking next to Sombra "that's what Starlight taught me. Sharing is caring! You gotta share, you gotta care!"
"Y-Yeah! Good lesson and all, but I need to-" She bumped into Chrysaliss, who still looked liked herself and had some changelings following her. The two stared at each other for a while.
"...If you're wondering, we both follow the same ideas." Chrysalis spoke bluntly.
"...Figures." she backed up as the crowd of ponies (and non-ponies) cornered Twilight, all chanting together.
"Join us! Join us! Join us!"
"HELP!!!"
I'm home. Starlight thought to herself, wiping a tear from her face while smiling. Who ever knew this revenge thing would be so fulfilling!?
