New Story Tomorrow: Twilight Sparkle and the Cake Thief · 4:00am Nov 25th, 2015
Good evening everyone! Here to let you know that a new multi-chapter story will be dropping tomorrow. Twilight Sparkle and the Cake Thief, with a custom commissioned bit of cover art. I hope you all enjoy it! It's going to be my first story tagged Mystery, and I've been tinkering with the lore and some of the set pieces for a few months now, but I've finally gotten everything hammered out and the first few chapters have been proofread and are ready to go. I will be posting one chapter a week until it's completed, updating Wednesdays.
Arts below the break.
Simbaro hasn't posted it to their gallery yet, but they did send me the finished digital artwork, and is waiting until the story is published to post it.
Have Twilight Sparkle, Intrepid Investigator:
On the longest night of the year, it is said that two slices of cake mysteriously vanish from the castle kitchens. But Twilight Sparkle has never been one to believe in superstition. Her mystery novels have taught her there is always an explanation.
A holiday mystery in Canterlot, unsolved for as long as anypony can remember, leads a teenaged Twilight to ask a simple question: Why steal cake?
As her favorite detective has discovered in every book of the Sable Sleuth series, it's often the simplest of questions that will lead a pony down unexpected paths. As Hearth's Warming Eve approaches, and the deadline for the next theft looms, will Twilight Sparkle be able to unravel the mystery behind the Cake Thief?
It was Lex Luther wasn't it!?

No... I'm sorry. There's just one cake. And not even all of it's gone.
Looks cool! Will def. give it a read. :)
Well, well. I wonder who is responsible for this, who might desire DELICIOUS CAKE on this night, of all nights
This. Sounds. Awesome. I totally wish I could come up with an idea as original and clever as that.

When no one was looking, the Cake Thief took one fortieth of a cake. She took 1/40 cakes. That's as many as ten four-hundredths. And that's terrible.

Glad to hear it!

The question is not who... but why. But Who... you will have to see.

I'm hoping everyone enjoys it.

Ten four hundredths is a lot of cake, considering the size of that cake.
3567426 if you read the story, caaaake will be served. ;)
