Its come to my attention (via PMs), that the scenes of interaction between Discord and Sombra have apparantly, and im not kidding here, this was the gist of it, SHIPPING undertones. 
I giggled my little arse off when it finally sunk in. 
Why? because i did NOT write them with that i mind. Id like to point out i had no plans for anything like that in "Umbrum Ad Infinitum". It was intended to be a straight-up ordinary action-ish story. With focus on Sombra learning to see the world in a nicer light, and make some friends. I already had romance stories ongoing, and thus didnt bother adding it to this one.
Not intentionally anyway. 
Why did i include Discord? It was after a visit to IDWs website. I seen an article on the Sombra "fiendship is magic" comic, where one of the people who worked on it mentioned they'd love to put Discord and Sombra in a story together because theyre utter opposites. Discords a lord of chaos, with a funny sense of humour, and Sombra's incredibly serious. I couldnt help think it WAS an interesting idea. Hence Discord ending up an impromptu therapist to a bewildered Sombra. His method is to annoy Sombra back to normal....XD The idea made me laugh, so i added it in. Simple as that.
Buuut, should i include a little smoochy scene for laughs? Honestly, i AM tempted. I was a big yaoi fan in my last fandoms, and wrote many stories alongside normal heterosexual shippings.
I may well evolve it into a seperate story set after UAI. That way i could do a clop fic if i felt tempted.
If i did a scene in the current story, it'd be a seperate interlude, so those not into M/M pairings can happily skip over it without missing anything vital.
What ya think? Yay or nay?
I personally like the idea, after thinking it over. Ive already started ONE clopfic with Discord, so why not another pairing?
Of course id have to change the storys description to reflect this, but hey no biggie.
I'm not a fan of clop. True, I haven't read clop, and I have no intention of doing that, plus I personally wouldn't encourage gay or lesbian pairings in real life or in most stories (I'm more for the traditional guy\girl relationship). But I must admit I'm curious about how a romantic relationship between Sombra and Discord would go. Even though I wasn't one of the people getting that vibe. If you want to do that, and kept the clop out of major plot elements plus made sure that readers like me knew that it was going to be in a chapter, then you won't hear any complaints from me. Though seriously, keep the clop as far away from me as possible.

As tempting as it is, if i add it, things will just turn bad. The story is floudnering badly as it is, votes wise. Id rather not chase anybody else away. Every new chapter, another thumbs down. Im doing something wrong, but none of them have the guts to say what they dont like. By the time the fics done, itll be in the red. Ill post them anyway, so you and the ohers can enjoy them. Haters gonna hate, huh?
I'll probbaly write the clop thing regardless, but only to satisfy my own goofy amusement. It'll never see the light of day.
Thats the problem with this site, and in a way, the fandom. Celestia help you if you post pairings that people dont like. You can pour all the love and dreams and hard work into a story you want, in the end the choice of love interests will spell its downfall. Im not willing to subject something that makes me happy to the wolves.
I fell for that once too often in past fandoms. Ive seen how votes work in this site, and i know the idea will only bring derision.

3540444 Okay. But remember this. At the end of the day, this story is YOUR story. Some people will probably disagree with things that you do but there are also folks who won't. Big woop. If they don't like it, then whatever. Of course, I'm not sure how valid my advice on this matter is since the people who don't like my stories are in the minority.
I can't imagine that pairing working out at all. It seems like a completely bad idea.
It would be hilarious if one of the other characters somehow came to think that they were in a relationship, and briefly mentioned something to either Sombra or Discord. Just imagining their reaction is making me start to laugh.
3541857 one deleted scene from an earlier chapter had fluttershy thinking it was sweet, after she sees them having a spirited argument and assumes they like each other. Depending how the reworked version goes, I'm gonna put it back in if I can, for giggles.
In the end I decided not to alter the current fanfic as it is, instead I'm gonna try shift the idea to a separate one. It's a weird pairing sure, but I delight in the obscure. Always have done. The fact they're so different is what makes it intriguing to me...I at least want to give it a go!
