What started as a normal day...

What started as a normal day: A poem by Erised the Ink-moth, to his wonderful readers and followers.

So I woke up in morning, half past nine
and I got myself some cereal, thinking of ways to pass the time
I remembered a fic that I re-wrote the other day
and shrugged to myself, "I guess that's one way."

So I sat down with smile and began to type away
and the next thing I knew I'd been there till mid-day
Breathing a sigh as I looked over chapter six
thinking of things that I could fix
My lazier side came in with a smile
and said, "Hey man, you've been working hard. Why not procrastinate a while?"

I had been here for quite a bit
my stack of soda cans could attest to it
"Yeah, what's the harm?" I said to myself
"I'll leave what I've got here on the shelf
Return to it in an hour or four
Not like anyone's waiting for more."

Then I checked Fimfiction and it was there that I saw
my story was sitting in the featured stories box

Gasping, I logged in scarcely believing it true
after all, the chapters only numbered two
Then in the top-left corner I saw notifications
seeing them all made me rethink my short vacation

Knowing you're all there, reading my story of an elf and her bug
it makes me push harder, making it all it can be
So before I go, I wish to thank you, and give you all a virtual hug

Awesome poem! And congrats on the feature! I'll have to get around to reading the story...after the billion other fics I need to catch up on...and school...*sigh* this may take awhile
