Ugh... I think I need to start taking testosterone supplements. · 6:50am Oct 23rd, 2015
As much as it pains me to have to resort to that... It appears I have no other choice. I just... I'm 18 and don't look like a man at all. Heck, if it weren't for my tiny bit of stubble and flat chest... I might actually look like a woman. (a woman with short hair mind you... but a woman.) It also doesn't help that I'm so scrawny I look like slenderman...
I'm just, I'm not as large (don't take that out of context please) as other men... I have next to no chest hair... and my index and ring finger are not much different in length at all. ... and if you know anything about biology/anatomy, that means I do not have the normal amount of testosterone your average man has in their system. My ring finger is supposed to be much longer than my index finger; But it's not.
"Darkwolf... why is not looking as manly as other men an issue?" ... well guys. That is because of a stupid evolutionary trait all of us humans have developed. A disdain for the abnormal. Being a young man, who does not look manly at all... that is abnormal. Because I'm meeker than other men, they will try to dominate me. (and probably succeed... seeing as those with more testosterone tend to be a lot stronger than those who lack it.)
And because I don't even come close to what an Ideal man should physically be... Women won't give me a second glance.
I'M NOT BEING SEXIST AT ALL! ... this is an evolutionary trait that we tend to abide by without even knowing it.
You heterosexual girls know this... If you had a choice between two different men. (personalities and other traits not in regard) which one would you be more likely to chose. A healthy and athletic looking man with a chiseled jawline? Or a scrawny and underweight man who doesn't have much in the way of muscle? ... this is exactly what I mean.
...*sigh* really... the only good that comes out of me having a lower amount of testosterone than the average male is the fact that I am more apt to think through my actions and suppress my impulses than other males my age. That... and I'm good with kids... but that's seriously it.
*sigh* guys... I don't know what to do.
doesn't testosterone lead to a rise in aggression?
3490514 Well... yes. It does. Its one of the reasons why I'm unsure about this.
But when I think about it... I could use a bit more aggression. Perhaps just enough will balance out my passive nature and I'll become assertive and confident...
