Finally watched the Season 5 Finale. · 8:33am Nov 30th, 2015
Before I get into my thoughts on it, I just want to insure that you guys know this. Any "spoilers" I might say won't really be spoilers. I won't reveal hardly anything about the story, or give any detail about the ending. I'm just simply going to voice my opinion.
Anyways. I liked it. But... I might speak blasphemy when I say, I didn't absolutely love it. And it wasn't the story or anything like that that drove me off, It was... the execution? No, more like a lack of content. Something about the ending didn't leave me satisfied. I feel like it was somewhat anti-climatic, and happened a bit too fast. There wasn't much depth, climax, or lead into it. It seemed like they just jumped straight for the resolution, after the rising action.
One of the things that annoyed me I guess was the fact that Hasbro presented these REALLY COOL parallel universes/alternate timelines.... and didn't really explore them as much as I wanted them too. I understand that they are limited to 44 minutes worth of content, so I understand why they didn't give them much beef, but still.
Hasbro... just for us, perhaps you could create some side comic series' or chapter books set in those alternate timelines. I'd... actually pay quite a bit of money for that XD.
(though, on a side note, if any of you guys found some amazing fan fictions based in those alternate timelines, please link them to me in the comments below! I would write one myself, probably the one around nightmare moon... , but I'm such a bad writer that It wouldn't do it justice)
Anyways. Yeah. I would give this finale a 6.5/10 ... a bit harsh some of you might think, but that is a passing grade. And I did like it for the MOST part, but it just wasn't my favorite finale.
Sorry if I offended any of you, just know that this opinion is my own, I'm not going to change it, and I won't press it on you. If you absolutely loved the finale, than I understand completely, hence fourth I won't judge or think down on you in any way. Heck, if you want to chew me up over this, I won't fight back. (well... unless your being naive. But that's for your sake more than mine. Naivety is the #1 enemy to all mortality.) Just don't be too detestable, and understand why my opinion is the way it is.
