First ever blog post on here...or a deck named Shipyard. · 11:15pm Oct 21st, 2015

So this is my first time posting on here at all, despite having been a member for sometime, but I figured now was as good a time as any to make a blog post.

My blog posts will very in what they are on. They will range from something I read on here to how my local Weiss Schwarz game tourney is going, which is what the blog focuses on today.

For those that don't know, Weiss Schwarz is a TCG made by the Japanese entertainment company Bushiroad, who also make Cardfight!! Vanguard and Future Card Buddyfight. Unlike Vanguard and Buddyfight however, Weiss Schwarz is not it's own IP, and instead Bushiroad licenses other anime's out and uses them as sets such as: Madoka Magica, Fairy Tail, Angel Beats, Attack on Titan, KanColle and many others. The whole premise of the game is to put on a show with your characters doing battle with your opponents. I won't go into a full lengthy tutorial because I'm better at explaining the game with my voice, than typing out the rules. I will however link to an in-depth tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAAZf0rcysU

Now on to the actual results of my tourney. The tourney takes place every Tuesday and this week I actually made it back into top 4 with a 3-1 record, after doing not so great in the weeks prior: 2-2, 0-4, 1-3, respectively. This week I opted to play mono-green Madoka/Homura which during my second match of the night, I affectionately referred to as Shipyard. If you get why I call it that, well good for you, you can have a cookie. Go on, I won't tell anyone, it's our little secret.

Anyway, this was my first time actually playing the deck as no prior testing had really been done, and while there are somethings I need to tweak about the deck, it runs pretty solid. I managed to make some good comebacks in two of my matches. One comeback I'd go on to lose, which was against another Madoka deck, and the other I'd go on to win, which was against Attack on Titan, specifically Levi Corps. My first match was a pretty big blow out as I was still level 0 when my opponent was level 2, but by the end of it I ended it at level 2. My last match was very close, and luckily Homura made the save and secured the win. For those that manage to get top 4, we get packs from the local shop. First place got 5 this time, and with three of us going 3-1, we each got 2 packs. It felt good to finally get back into the top mix, and with some tweaks the deck may be able to get me to the top.

So that's my first blog post on FimFiction ever! Hope you guys enjoyed it, and if you have any questions about Weiss Schwarz just hit me up. Thanks for stopping by, and see you all next week!.
