MLP x Yowamushi Pedal...or Season 5 and biking.

So Season 5 of MLP has ended, and I, like many other fans, find myself waiting for the hiatus to end. Luckily I have found myself with something that rivals my passion of both MLP and Fairy Tail. That something is the anime Yowamushi Pedal. This anime isn't your typical shonen action anime with powers and magic. No, this anime is simply about bicycle racing. Now at first glance that doesn't sound like anything special, but this anime makes sure to make it such. From the first time you hear the intro you're in for a ride (pun intended). The story focuses around first year high school student and otaku, Onoda Sakamichi. Onoda's goal in high school is to join the anime club and make some friends he can go to Akiba with, but instead gets into the world of bicycle racing. I don't want to spoil too much as it's a lot to explain and I don't want to spend an entire post doing so, but if you have yet to see Yowamushi Pedal I highly recommend it. The art is fantastic and suits the tone of the show, the opening theme song makes sure to hype up each episode as much as possible, and the voice acting fits all the characters very well. I may actually consider writing up a MLPXYowamushi Pedal crossover, or maybe commission for one to be done. This blog was much shorter than my last and I know it's been a while since the last one, but with college things have been hectic and with a free day I wanted to write one. I also want people to know about Yowamushi Pedal, seriously this is one of the best sports anime's out there so do yourself a favor and check it out!
