Singularity Dream

The pony processing organ in my head still has some foreign non-pony contaminants.

    Happy Holidays

This is your yearly reminder that I wrote a decently funny Christmas story in the long-ago times. If you haven't read it, you should! If you have read it, maybe you should just stick with blurred memories of how good it was.

    Books!

So, due to my high level connections here and there, I now have an advance copy of several highly sought after ponyfic books. Now that I've had a chance to check several of them out in person, I have to say that Ponyfeather Publishing does excellent work. Anyone able to pick one up, at Bronycon or ordering them afterward, should totally do so.

Last Week on City Of Doors 7/7/2019

So, I've actually been posting on my primary blog lately. Which has been nice, given that I've pulled myself out of depression enough to actually do stuff like that. So, here's been my daily content over there:

Anime: Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

    Video reviews

Why they so bad? Like nine out of ten youtube video reviewers of pony fan fiction are just terrible. I've gotten to the point where I'm all caught up on the BMRL but still have the energy to work on it. So I once again dipped into the video reviews bookmarks. Which once again reminded me why I don't do them as a regular thing. Half the time finding out what story is being reviewed is a struggle.

Short one this time. Which is good because I'm trying to be a little more current with posting things here to point people over there. Since some of you check the feed here a lot more often than you might check an outside site. Presented out of order, pony stuff first and non-pony stuff after.

Pony Writing episode fix
Random bit I wrote after watching Made in Manehatten. Reader beware, unedited content here.

Stainless Steel Rat book reviews
Non-pony stories. The wrap-up for when I was reading a bunch of the Stainless Steel Rat stories a few months ago. Saved from the random text file on my computer where it was hiding since then.

More non-pony content
Hive by Tim Curran
Riverworld: Including To Your Scattered Bodies Go & The Fabulous Riverboat by Philip Jose Farmer

Tuesday, non-pony review: Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos part 2
More short stories from this collection. I even have more of these coming up in the next few days, and will link the previous two posts on it. So skipping this one until later might be a good idea. Unless you desperately want to know how I felt about them.

Man, if Iridescent Iron Rat was good enough to get people reading the source novels, I really ought to bump that up on my writing priority list.

... though Hard Reset 2 needs to come first, which means that I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. :unsuresweetie:

Well, I've been re-reading a bit of classic science fiction that I grew up with recently just to see how they held up. So it was good enough to bump Stainless Steel Rat to the top of that list for re-reading.
