Would you kindly consider helping out a friend? xjuggernaughtx has a story in the running for being featured in the Royal Canterlot Library for their second anniversary, and I'd love to see him win for his story. It's for a story he wrote called The New Crop, which he put a lot of time and effort in to, but just sadly didn't take off much in the way of views, despite being a very interesting tale. If he gets the spot, that might help him get a bit more exposure for it. If you'd like to help him out, here's the link to his nomination. All you'd have to do is upvote the comment. Now, it would be nice if you read the story as well, but you are of course free to vote for him just because you like him, or me, I won't judge your reasoning for doing so.

Isn't this tampering with the votes by using your exposure to give him an edge? If he wins this way, he won't have earned it himself
3429598 Perhaps, but he's up against the likes of The Descendent and Skywriter. He needs a little bit of an edge just to compete. I cannot hope to level the playing field for him.

Well, if I looked correctly, he's only like 7 upvotes or so away from taking the lead. I would think that means the playing field is pretty level, and that if his fic is great, he'll come out on top on his own.
But hey, can't force you to not help him out.
3429605 That's from being the very first nomination, he had the advantage of time, to be sure. But I'd like to think I am not being subtle with this blog. I'm trying to draw eyes to this contest in the hopes that it will benefit a friend. I have no repentance about doing so, as the entire purpose of a popularity contest comes down to who can garner the most votes. I could understand your objection if I was trying to hide my intent, but people can either choose to humor my selfish whims or they can not. Either way, I'm happy to help a friend in whatever way I can.
