Blog Time: Account Changes, New Group and Q&A Deadline! · 7:59am Sep 29th, 2015
Hey, everyone! I hope you guys have all been having an awesome day! I had a little free time since I got my weekly homework done really early, and I figured that I should talk about a few changes that will be taking place with my account, as well as address some stuff that I've already talked about. I don't wanna ramble on too much, so let's get to the purpose of this blog!
Account Changes and Updates
So, a few minor changes and improvements are going to be made to this account, and they are all for a good cause, so don't worry! Nothing's going wrong, I'm not taking a break from fimfiction, I'm not going to be on the site any less. In fact, the exact opposite of all that is gonna be happening, and I'll explain how and why right now.
First of all, I'm really enjoying making blogs, and it seems like most of you are enjoying it too, so I've decided to make a schedule for my blogging on fimfiction, and I'm going to explain it right now! I've decided to blog three times a week: once every Monday, once every Wednesday, and once every Friday. Each blog will be posted at approximately 10 p.m., Pacific Time. Now, each day will have it's own theme. Monday blogs will be posted under the title Mellow Monday, Wednesday blogs will be posted under the title Well-Informed Wednesday, and Friday blogs will be posted under the title Furious Friday. Mellow Monday will be a kind of laid back, chilled-out blog. Basically just a kind of "Hi, how've you been?" kinda deal. I'm basically going to be a way for me to talk about my personal life and let you guys get to know me a little better, as well as where I'll post anything cool that I've found on the internet. Well-Informed Wednesday blogs will be made to... ya know... keep you Well-Informed! It's where I'm going to put account changes and updates on upcoming projects. Now, Furious Fridays... well, let's just say this is the blog series I'm most excited and scared about. Basically, I've wanted to do a 'Rant Blog' series for a while, and I don't want my rants to just pop up at random, so I decided to set up a way to limit myself to 1 rant per week. Now, I'm excited about this because hopefully, it's going to be a fun little thing that you can all read for a good laugh; but I'm also scared because these rants can easily be taken the wrong way, like I'm just an asshole who wants to vent at people on the internet, and that's just not true. Most of the things I'm going to be saying in Furious Friday blogs are going to be extreme dramatizations of how I actually feel, basically just a way to cause a few laughs. Now, obviously, the rants are going to have a lot of profanity in them, so make sure you're okay with reading that kinda thing before you click on a Furious Friday post. I'm really excited for these blog projects, and I'm hoping to kick this project off this Friday with a good old rant.
Secondly, as I've said numerous times before, I really want to build a community with my followers and people who read my blogs and stories. I've thought long and hard about how I can do that, and I've come up with a few ways that I can make it possible; but here's the most important part: I need your guys' help to do it!
Let me elaborate a bit. As I've said in a previous blog, I have big plans on what we can transform fimfiction.net into. Now, that's not to say that the site is BAD, in fact, the site developers have done a great job in creating an awesome website for bronies to post MLP fanfiction and communicate with each other, but I believe that we, as a community, can make this experience even better! I've said before that spreading love and happiness is the first step to making this change, but what is the first step OF THE FIRST STEP? I've been working with some other users on this site, and I think we've come up with a solution to this question. Though we don't have all the kinks worked out yet, we've created a realistic starting point, and that starting point is... wait for it...
A New Group!
That's right! We've made a group called Peer Help, and as the name implies, it's where you can go to get help or to help others! I think that peers helping peers is a great way to build a community, most importantly because it puts everybody on a level playing field. Nobody is better than anybody else, and I think that's the first thing that needs to be established to build a strong community, and this group intends to do just that! For more information, click here to go to the group's page!
Now that the account changes are out of the way, I've got one more thing to talk about: the Q&A that I promised you all a few weeks ago! Yes, it's happening, but the deadline for questions is coming up soon! The deadline for questions is going to be two hours before the Q&A will be posted, which is 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30th, pacific time. You can ask whatever you want, but be sure that you have your question in by that time, or else it probably won't get answered. You can ask your questions on this blog post, or on either one of my last two posts.
I don't really think that there's much else I can talk about right now, so I guess I'll talk to you guys on Wednesday.
Deuces!
