"Blue and Black Wings" Postmortem / Sendoff

Hey, guys. So, you may have noticed by now that Blue and Black Wings has been marked as cancelled. There's been no motivation to write it ever since it last updated (which was a really long time ago), and I wanted to stop lying to everyone about it. It's not getting updated. But, I wouldn't feel right if I didn't at least tell you all at least what I had planned for it, however little content that is.

Originally, the plan for this story was to have a romance about Rainbow Dash and Thunderlane coming together and helping each other heal their wounds. That was going to serve as the foundation for their romance, and their adoption of Scootaloo and Rumble was supposed to help build up that relationship as well. Daring Do was to act as a sort of observer and occasional foil; she was going to remain single (until she met Time Turner, anyways) and play what could be boiled down to the "flighty but caring family member" routine.

The only other thing that I ever really had plans to do was introduce Rainbow Dash's father as a character in the story. He was going to crash at RD and Thunderlane's place, and it was going to add tension to that family dynamic. I think I was going to name him Sunset Rider or something like that. I was going to make it so that Rainbow Dash never forgave him, and she kicked him out of her house because he was causing a lot of trouble and didn't really want to make things right. Something like that, anyways; it's been a really long time since I thought about this story.

I'm sad that I didn't get to finish it, as I usually like to finish what I start, but it's about time that I stopped lying. So, there you have it. That's what was going to happen with Blue and Black Wings.
