I'm thinking about a new story about pony pirates and I'm curious what do you think about it.
There would be only 2 characters from a show - Luna and Celestia, where they aren't sisters, but enemies. Luna would be a pirate and Celestia would chasing her (she would be under a someone else command). This adventure won't have a place in Equestria but in new, creating by myself, world where everyponies (and everyone) live on a high rocks/island/flying island etc. Lower would be a big ocean or dead forests or just abyss. The only way to move from one island/rock to another would be a sky ship.
The land a bit similar to a steampunk world, but the main energy source would be a magic crystals (and they would the only things where the magic would exist (except Luna and Celestia. They would use magic too. I have an idea to put there a massive flying fished made with wood/steel etc. too).
But what would be a plot? Well, that's the problem - I have no idea. I mean: I have few concepts but I dunno which one is good:
1. Story about a young earth pony (the son of a rich sailor), who dreams to serve on a sky yacht, but he has been ponynapped by Luna. His father decline to pay a ransom saying that his money is more important that his son. Luna gave this letter young pony and gave him a decision. Will he stay on her ship or go away.
2. Story about Luna - she is searching for a big treasure to buy an army and kill a currently lord, taking his place. Of course Celestia must stop her but she isn't the only one who don't want Luna reach this treasure.
3. Story about a pegasus, chasing by Luna.
4. A pegasus, who wants to serve under Luna command because of him personal buisness. He wants serve there and one day capture her ship for a personal revenge on a guy who stole his family souvenire.
Which one is worth to choose?

Maybe start out by writing all of the plots. Then as you go through them, figure out which one you have a better connection with.

If i had to pick between the four i would go with the first one. I feel like the earth pony would be a great way to look at luna from a outsider prospective.
