It's a nice thing!
The thing has colors and booms and snowballs and plush carpet and dried apricot and jokes at the expense of the characters!
READ THE THING. OBEY THE THING. ALL GLORY TO THE THING.
Nah but really now.
Fullmetal Pony is live. It's a project I've been working on for weeks now (just these introductory three chapters!), alongside idea-man TwiBest to help join the best of both worlds - pony show and alchemy show. It's an adaptation of the Fullmetal Alchemist anime, taking the rules and laws from that universe and seeing how they play out in Equestria's own! And so far, it's been a cool blast!
Yes I totally said "cool blast" as an homage to the plot device in the first two chapters because this guy bursts a water main and coats an entire city with a freezing fog and it's COOL DAMN IT PLEASE BELIEVE ME.
But, and there's more, there's more! This story is also my first to have a dedicated editor, one who is not part of the MLP fandom! She's a long-time friend of mine, Spirit Seer, who has given me advice and critique on other stories in the past. She's also actively studying the art of writing in her college courses, so she's the best source I have for rules, form, and function. If you don't like her art, you're wrong.
Also, as you probably guessed, the story is heavily inspired by Agrodaemon's video (shown below). You can probably guess which characters you'll see as we go forward, but can you guess what TwiBest and I will end up doing with them? Well, the answer is NEITHER CAN WE, because any story worth its SALT allows its characters to run UNHINDERED by what the author wants, because that's what makes a story come ALIVE. Now LIVE WITH ME, CHILD.
(Oh my I seem to be parodying Aragon a bit here aren't I oh well he's a funny character as well so I should probably NOT HINDER him yeah?)
