I know that this isn't even close to being featured and it's rather low down on the list and I'm sure had something more to do with site views, likes/dislike, etc, and is just automatically done, but still! I've never seen my one of my works up there! That's cool and makes me feel rather excited!
It's a bit of a mile stone for me, because if I pulled out one of my first stories from six years ago from an old account, that I had to close simply due to the bad reputation I had developed as a young, aspiring author, well, let's just say that story was really bad and wouldn't have even gotten close. In fact I think I got more views on that simply because I think nobody could comprehend how a story could fail to get even a single like without seeing it for themselves. So yeah......personal growth and improvement!
Point is, I'm glad to see some sort of noticeable progress and change in how I've developed as a writer. I'm not great. I know that, and I may never been as good as Anzel, VariusMayhem, Pen Stroke, or Aegis Shield. That's just a fact of life. However, if I can simply just write a story and nab a hundred views and a good amount of likes compared to dislikes, I'd be happy. Or at least know I've come that far. I write for the pleasure of writing. Having others appreciate and enjoy my work just makes it that much more rewarding.
