"You should tell her, soon." Luna says shortly, folding her arms as Celestia gazes out of the window at the radiant beauty of a Canterlot winter morning. The Empress frowns, pursing her lips for a long moment, but then she raises her hand and presses her fingers against the window.
"I will, when I get around to it. I need to get this current crisis out of the way first you know. We've a major war brewing on our eastern border, trouble with the Vals and heaven knows what Parliament's cooking up right now... We don't need Twilight flying off the handle to add to that. You know how destructive it can get when a Princess decides to throw a tantrum." Celestia says irritably, then as her sister's breath hisses in through clenched teeth, Celestia remembers what she has said and to whom. She turns apologetically to her masked sister, and she can see Luna's eye narrowed through the ragged hole in the corner of the mask.
"Sorry, that wasn't very tactful of me," Celestia sighs, clicking her tongue, "What I'm trying to say is that right now, with things as tense as they are, I want to be able to keep Twilight from going off in half a dozen different directions at once when I do get around to it."
"You've been 'getting around to it' for years Sister, I think it's time you ripped the bandage off before the wound turns septic," Luna says icily. "She's old enough and powerful enough to know, and the longer you take to 'get around to it', the more time you give Someone Else to tell her."
"You think She'd-" It's not a question that Celestia wants to ask, but it's a question that she knows she must.
"We're getting involved with Her People in Her Country. I'd be surprised if She didn't decide to try and stop us , and telling your faithful student a few home truths is a good way to do that. You should tell Twilight, as soon as possible. " Luna's voice is even, the sort of voice one uses to tell someone close something they won't want to hear.
"Do you think Twilight will forgive me?" Celestia's voice is almost plaintive.
"At this point, does it matter?"

So, there you have it. I know things have been slow on the Legionnaire front lately, but I promise things are moving and they're going to be moving quite a bit faster fairly quickly.
Good, good.
