Quick Question · 8:21pm Aug 17th, 2015
I wish to ask the readers of dC/dt whether or not I should remove the comedy tag. I make a good number of what I consider jokes in the story, but:
A) In my experience, my sense of humor can be very... odd... sometimes. What I think of as a joke may very well simply not register on others.
B) Traditional comedy usually refers to the overall mood and not simply the existence of jokes. It refers to a brighter setting that I'm not sure I'm providing. It seems there might be a bit too much drama. It's not a dark story, but it's not what I'd call cheerful.
C) Looking back the humor seems spaced out enough that I'm not sure it qualifies. Comedies should keep you constantly laughing... I don't think this story does that.
Thoughts?

As long as there is some humor I would say just leave it.
Heh. Morpheus getting drunk on Pinkie Pie's happiness was funny, for one. Or that the castle turned out to be alive and sentient.
I considered the story to be rather humorous at times, and I think it also might've contributed to me checking out what the story was about, so that's a pro I guess...
But...
Other people might've different expectations of what counts as "comedy" there, and may be turned off if they don't find it immediately in the first chapter, so that's a mixed blessing.
...6 downvotes?! Seriously?
I was gonna say that the story is a bit unappreciated considering its chapter-count, but that is rather many downvotes for getting as few votes as 33 total.
Hmmmm. As for getting little attention, I'm not really sure if "dC/dt!=0" is a very attention-grabbing title.
I think I honestly just clicked on it because I happened to see the cover-art, and the fact that the title was included in it (which usually indicates a massive step-up in quality compared to somebody who just grabs a random image off the internet to use for their story). Since one only does see the cover art if one gives chance to a random story in the "recently updated" section, or if the story happens to be shuffled into the "top 10 random hot stories" on the sidebar, well... errm.

Hmm... I guess I'll leave it in for now then.
Well it's rather nice to hear that considering I worry about the quality so much. Biggest reason updates takes so long is the sheer anxiety that comes from worrying about quality control. Makes it harder to actually buckle down and do things when I do have the free time. As much as I try to ignore likes and dislikes and just have fun with it, I can't. It's a measure of quality I can use even if it's probably a bit unaccurate from what people normally say when I actually get comments.
