I know it's been a long time since I published anything for this story, but I have been writing on it even as I pushed to finish The Last Vacation. That's mainly the reason I haven't done anything for any of my other stories. I had too many started, and not enough finished. So I pushed to get the one closest to being done, done.
And so, the night after I finished TLV, I added a lot of detail to the outline of its sequel, and I also started working on something I wrote for a writeoff, a story about the Sirens' origins.
More importantly to this blog post, I finished putting the final touches on the second chapter of Dashes of Life. This one is actually taken, in part, from the original first chapter, which moved far too quickly for the story to have a semblance of continuity, and there was far too much that Dash wouldn't leave out.
So... I took that, and added a lot more detail to what Dash would consider important, and added a bunch of scenes.
So... her plan to have it all on one tape failed. As I knew it would from the start... I just didn't account for how badly planned it would be. They don't even get past the first year with that first tape.
I hope you all enjoy!
