Did you ever accomplish something great?
Not something all high and mighty, just something good enough to impress your family, friends and colleagues.
In the past year I've made a few such accomplishments.
Everyone praised me, saying there's a bright future awaiting for me.
A few months past those accomplishments, I'm stuck doing a job I don't really care about.
I can't bring myself to enjoy it, no matter how hard I try.
And I can't quit it, for reasons I am not allowed to discuss here.
It takes all my time, and I feel like I'm just wasting my life on it. That job will accompany me for at least two more years. Maybe even more.
I'm lost. I don't know what to do. I truly feel hopeless.
In short, I may not be a Princess, but I think Twilight sums up my situation quite accurately.
Her words in this song never spoke so true to me before.
I could only hope that what the other Princesses say will someday come true, but I can't see it now for myself...
On other news, I'm already almost 5,500 words into the next chapter, plus 1,000 words of the ending scene.
The chapter is growing a bit too long for my taste, so I'll probably have to split it at some point. I just hope it won't turn out to be more than two parts like My Little Assistant.
I've incorporated three pieces of BGM into it (two of them in the ending scene), so I'm quite proud of that. I think it's more enjoyable to read a story with fitting music.
Hopefully I'll update within the next two weeks, but with how hectic my life turned out to be, there's really no telling.
So long as you don't give up and lose sight of your goals, you will find happiness.
