Now that I had a cameo from a character that starred in a different fic, I want to explain a little something of my headcanon. As of Darkest of Tide's writing, I believe that there are three timelines.
One is the Sins of an Alicorn timeline in which Nyx exists and kinda changes a few things in FO:E canon.
Another is the main timeline, in which all the side-fics do indeed happen... they just happen a little differently than what we read. The reasons for this could be because the writer of the story has a bad memory, or because Spike has a bad memory. This helps explain any discrepancies any story has with the main FO:E story. This is the Broad Strokes kind of timeline, where I basically make my own mind up of how things happen.
The last is the Darkest of Tides timeline, where, thanks to a massive change, everything is different. However, some things change without the disappearance of a certain character. That will be explained in a later chapter, but right now, all the characters that could have done something are either dead, or don't have the drive to do so. Each side-story character now have slightly different personalities due to the changes. So Blackjack won't save the world because she doesn't have that big of a drive.(Her job at Friendship City is also more important.)
