So, after a while of thinking... I've decided to, instead of just putting my story back up, I am going to work with my editor to remake the story from the ground up. As many readers know the first thirty chapters are a slog and there are a few things that just don't go anywhere. So our goal is to scrap the story and rewrite it from the very beginning. Some scenes and arcs will be left mostly untouched, but for the majority of the fic, we are talking about a major overhaul to help the story set itself up faster and trim away all the little continuity errors and pointless stuff (but not the comedy, the comedy will stay and be just as awful/stupid as it was before).
These changes will affect how the story progresses, so skipping the first few chapters will not be optional if you want to follow along, no matter how far you've read into the original, and new readers will not be expected to be at all familiar with the original story. For the time being however, my editor needs a new laptop shell so until he can get all set up, no progress will be made. In fact we haven't even started the revision... but once he is available, we will start working on Refined Starlight.
Hopefully this will get the response I had hoped for the original, as many of you said you would during your many pleas for the story's reposting. For the time being (i.e. until Quantum_Shift can get the money to fix his laptop) Starlight is officially discontinued, though Redshift will be put back up without changes, but seeing as it is a spinoff, it will not be posted until Refined Starlight has gotten through a few chapters so that new readers are familiar with Anthony's character.
In the meantime, I'll be on Twitch doing Livestreams of... whatever you guys might want to see me play. If you want to support me in monetary ways, I have a patreon account. Other than that... we just have to wait until Quantum gets a working laptop.

3210429 Ah, sure. You don't have to wait for me, you can write it yourself. I mean, you can call on me to write for Anthony if you don't feel like you could do a good job (though the character of Anthony is fairly malleable to a point).
Anyone can write a spinoff, a character insert, anything they want. I'm making it very clear that my setting is public domain (or as close as you can get with fanfiction). So anyone who wants to use my world or make an alternate universe version, or even a "What I wished had happened" I say go for it,, I'll probably read it. I won't consider it canon to the story but hey, if you're doing something with my characters/scenario, I'd love to be the first to hear!

3210509 Except I'm not able to do something like that. The best I can do for other characters is a brief cameo or an homage. If I pay lasting attention to a character in the main story then that means they will be a recurring character and therefore play important roles. At that point the only way to remove the character is to kill them off in some way that won't change the rest of the story. In other words, he'd have to have little actual importance. That's not fair to do to a character a fan created out of inspiration, so the only logical way to have your character in my world is to do a non-canon spinoff.
or maybe you want to change it a bit. Maybe you want to make an 'extra-gory' version, or write out your own idea of how something should have happened. Like if you actually want to see Anthony form a solid romantic relationship with another character (or even a rock for all I care) then you can write it! That's the entire point of fanfiction, right? So... make a fanfic out of my fanfic! I'll probably read it if I'm told it exists. Well, I won't read ANY of them... I draw the line at certain points.
