Chapter Update News: Dashes of Life - Tape 1

After some thought, some discussion and some editing and advice from a few editors, you know who you are Tape 1 is going to be getting a major overhaul. This isn't something I do often, and it's not something you should expect to happen from me often in the future. But, as a big, new, experimental project, I wanted to gauge the opinions of the format before I really committed myself to the story. Now that I'm committed... here we go.

Already, the chapter is nearly 7500 words long, or about 4 hours worth of, um taped moments of life. I'm nearly done. Just four more scenes to rework. It may get broken up into two chapters by the end of it. One before, and one after the big news every new family wants to hear.

Look for one additional new scene, lots more detail from the camera's perspective, less immersion breaking attempting to be coy camera introductions of well known ponies (while still retaining their description,) and a look at the camera being used to film it all!

I've learned a lot doing this, and I hope that it shows when the newly revised chapter comes out (within the next week or so. Maybe just after the 4th.)

Also, a new (semi-secret) story will be coming out in maybe a couple of weeks after that. More when that's closer to dropping.
