Hello, everypony. I have some fantastic news for all the bronies and pegasisters who invested time in reading my novel. First and foremost, I finally set aside some time to make my first blog post (Boo-yah!). I know it’s been a while since I said I’d start making some in my Chapter 17 “Author’s Note” section, but I encountered some problems along the way. You know, things like college and work and what have you. Right now, I’m on vacation in my native country Mexico (to all my Mexican fans out there, I’m staying with family in San Juan Del Rio, Queretaro.) Thanks to all that free time, I developed a schedule and you can rest assured that I will indeed make more blog posts from this point onward.
Secondly, I have finished two new chapters to my story, one of which is a prologue. One of the comments I received mentioned how the beginning of the story seemed a bit “off”. The characters, he mentioned, lacked a good introduction, and the way they unfolded felt similar to how a few characters from the first Stars Wars episode turned out. Being an open-minded guy, I went to investigate. I was quite appalled to find he was right. This was not my original intention when I first started writing the story. You all know that I take criticism to heart when improving my story and so here you are, a fully developed prologue currently in the process of refinement. My other chapter is self-explanatory: it’s the one succeeding Chapter 17.
Lastly, I might consider un-publishing all my chapters in order to properly accommodate the new chapters within the novel. I know it’s a bit extreme to be thinking such a thing, but it could be necessary. If I decide to add the new chapters now without making any changes to the old chapters, I might risk throwing the entire story into a chaotic mess. I really wish I won’t have to, but it’s an option for a reason. Additionally, I feel some of the old chapters don’t seem to “flow” like I want them to. They might need to undergo some serious revision in order to make them more concise and on point while at the same time more appealing, but don't worry. If I DO un-publish the chapters, I'll be sure to leave a two days' notice prior to taking them down in a later post. They will be published again when I feel satisfied with the revisions (at carefully timed intervals, of course, to keep it fun for you guys).
So there you have it, everypony. I might have gone “M.I.A.” for a while, but that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on making this story worthwhile. Far from it. I’ve made huge progress during all that time, and I’ll continue to improve on this novel until I can honestly tell myself I’ve finished it. If you have anything you’d like to tell me (questions, recommendations, opinions, etc.), feel free to leave a comment (or message me) about it and I’ll do my best to answer. I thank you all for taking the time to read my story and leaving such awesome feedback. A writer can never better himself if he shuns the hearts and minds of his readers.
Yours truly,
