    What's up, guys?

I'm writing an essay for English class reflecting on how I've grown as a writer, and I decided to hop on this old account to see how things have changed.
My stories were... well. From my 19-year-old perspective I think a lot of them lacked substance. I cringe to think about them, but at the same time it's nice to know I've grown. We all had to start somewhere, lol.

    Publishing Old Drafts

What's up guys, long time, no see. So I've been mulling this over for a while: publishing the drafts of unfinished stories. In particular, there was one story on which I was hard at work, an extended Capdagio narrative (crackship, if you're not in the know). I wish I could finish that story, but it's been a while so I don't think that'll happen. However I worked hard on the seven-or-so chapters I

    Oh nooooooooo

I can't see the new EqG shorts right away because I'll be at Youth Group. :raritydespair:

I guess I've been out of the loop, because I didn't even realize we were getting new shorts until a few minutes ago. Can't wait, though. We're getting a Twilight song, Rainbow's Daring Do antics, Pinkie Pie at the cafe, Rarity with her S1 butterfly wings... Sounds awesome!

    Angel Pulse and Shortstack designs

Aight so if you've been following my most recent story, Lack of Faith, you'll know my concepts for Scootaloo's parents. Her father, Shortstack Outflow, the CEO of Cloudsdale's plumbing company, and Angel Pulse, her stay-at-home mother.

I finally designed them! Without further ado:

I am crying now. "I'm with You" by Avril Lavigne is from 2002? "Lose Yourself", "Heaven", "A Thousand Miles"?! Some of these aren't surprising, but still!
When I turn 30 I'm gonna go insane because these songs will be only ghosts. And what about 80s hits? "Hey Jude" and "Heaven is a Place on earth?" :raritydespair: Will they fade into obscurity as this world develops?! WHY?! :raritydespair:
Sorry, I think I'm mental or something right now. :fluttercry: it's that overwhelming feeling of nostalgia you get when listening to music. WHAT IS THE WORD FOR THAT I KNWO THERE IS ONE

Nostalgic Melancholia?

Avril Lavigne's music will fade due to its inanity and relative vapidity. Good things never fade. People will still be talking about Beethoven 200 years from now, but the likes of Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj will be veritable ghosts.

I know that feel. These songs were on the radio when I was young:

I know that feel all too well.

The only song I recognize from those you mentioned was "Hey Jude". I'm less than 30 years old, and I learned to love that kind of music from my parents. Gotta go, the John Denver CD in my youngest siblings' room is skipping.

It's not as bad as you think. People still remember the stuff I was listening to back in the day, and I passed up thirty a while back.

3156053 Yeah. What he said. Think about the hits of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly. Fifty years on, people still listen to them, and I expect they still will in another fifty. But there are plenty of lesser artists from the same era that have faded into obscurity.

I know your pain, my friend:

My childhood in a nutshell. Don't feel ashamed if you don't recognize any of those songs. From what little I know about your non-internet life, they're probably older than you.

For me...

It's a matter of anime theme songs. :twilightsheepish:
(The reason I chose the second theme song was because I like it better over the first, and because I think it better represents the series.)

3156135 I know Smooth! :pinkiehappy:

3156125 3156053
I think I knew that, deep down. :moustache: Yay!

3156012 Yeah, that's it! :yay:

3157155
You're welcome.

3157155 Great :pinkiehappy:

And don't worry about your favorite songs being forgotten. There's always the possibility that they'll make a movie about a legendary space outlaw who carries a tape filled with a bunch of forgotten hits just waiting to be revived :yay:

3158585 You never know. They could easily reboot Guardians Of The Galaxy in 20 years and have a new "Awesome Mix" containing songs you grew up with :trollestia:

3158639 That reminds me: In 30 years they'll probably reboot the Harry Potter series and Emma Watson wants to play Professor McGonagall. :pinkiehappy:

3158799 Wow :rainbowlaugh:

I don't know if she'll look old enough, though :derpyderp2:
