Hype · 3:44am Jun 15th, 2015
Hype. Let me tell you about the word hype, and how I experience it after my nineteen years of life. If the word hype was inscribed over each nanoangstrom of my body's constituent matter, it would not equal one one-billionth of the hype I feel in this very micro-instant. For Fallout. Hype. Hype.
Lemme kill your hype.
It is being optimised for consoles with 720p displays. If you play on a PC, it will involve scaled up graphics.
But yeah, I'm feeling the hype too... it hurts.
3150911 Kudz, this hype can't be killed. Not by optimizations for fewer pixels than I have access to, and not the ingrown hair currently making me wish my thigh had been stabbed instead of suffer this ire. We have stared into the face of god, and lo, none found us wanting.

Fallout 4 you have to build whole cities and establish trade routes.
3150965 Sounds like high school all over again.

They have turned fallout 4 into a tower defense game. And minecraft. And simcity. And the Sims. And every other genre available.
I have been watching the footage... I don't know what to say, it's awesome, but there are some big fucking issues.
Are you so excited you rub your butt against a chair?
3150978 Hey, player choice is the name of the game. I will bet money this will still be a Fallout game in the truest sense of the term; everything else is icing on our irradiated cake.
3150986 I'm excited enough to rub my butt against you.

They made it clear that this was completely optional. Also, the textures are not necessarily 720p, we don't know yet.
Nothing can kill the hype train!

Do you know buggy this thing is gonna be if they try to make it like every other game in existence in one game?
It took one YEAR before Fallout New Vegas was playable with any feeling of reliability. Fallout 3 is buggy as heck.
And in this game, they are going to rush out an unfinished product and then apologise profusely.
I have a bad love / hate relationship with Bethesda.

We don't know yet. I, personally, will reserve judgement for when we get some reviews on the street. Also why I won't preorder. Still hyped though.
3151019 Am I the only one who thought New Vegas was playable on launch? That game was my shit when it dropped, same with Fallout 3; I actually made a friend talking about how bullshit their gun jamming was while in freshman world history.
Bethesda has been working on this since Fallout 3 dropped; they're gonna deliver a solid product, and while it may not be enough for some people, I'm certain it'll be worth my money, easily. Every Fallout game I've played, and every Bethesda game I've played, I've enjoyed, despite any bug, glitches, or game-breaking holes in the ground that I somehow bullshit my way into. The game comes out seven days before my birthday; it's the best gift I've ever gotten.
