Whats up with that?

So, I released a new story. It happens. But before I start talking about that, I have a dire questions that needs answers:

"Why are there so many HiE with humans who drop a "bad word" in every sentence?"
We all swear from time to time but in my life I've never met anyone who does that. It's rather annoying to be honest. Is that a special type of being "cool" I missed out on while sitting in my basement?

Alright, with the complain made, lets start talking about My Little Pony - Inquisition:

1. Where does this story came from?
Usually I would answer that with a sentence like: "When two authors love each other very much..."
Usually it wouldn't be true. If you have read some of my older blog entries you know I was taking notes of a more medieval Equestria for some time now. I also had a story in mind that I wanted to take place in this world. Pretty generic thing, that's why it didn't survive in the end. Human turned pony (bat pony/thestral) gets transported to Equestria shortly before its foundation. He is taken in by other thestrals who live in caves in the area were later Canterlot will be located. Then the settlers come and the conflicts happens. Dances with wolves/Avatar story like thingy that sounded way better in my head. It would end with with the ancestors of the thestrals being protectors of not only their own realm, but also the world of the humans. The dark (k)night rises and he's a horse. A tiny horse.

You may slap me now.

As you can see, if have read the first two chapters of Inquisition, I took over the idea of the thestrals being the protectors of the realm. Well at least if it comes to ghosts, zombies and everything else unholy for whom you would pull out a shotgun loaded with salt. Let's call this part the father of this story.

Mothers like to smooch their children, hug and embarrass them. It the holy duty of a mother after all. So the romance part (Sigmund Freud sends his regards). If two beings of the opposite sex are together, their is always a sexual tension too. Sometimes stronger, sometime weaker. But it's there. I always wanted to do a social study kind of story. The pains of growing up being a little pony. I dare to say a: Teenage Monster Soap. I don't want the main character to be the monster nor to f*ck the monster though. My vampires don't sparkle, I promise you that much. So I named my self Professor Utonium and mixed together medieval norms, teenage romance crap (that stuff sells after all) and heavy dose of the dark liquid.

2. Where will this story go?
So we established the formula, now lets take a look at the results.

The prologue was all in hall a summary of what the Inquisition does. Pony sees monster, maybe gets away with his live. Ponies write a letter about the monster to Canterlot and the princesses send out the bat-ass ponies to deal with it. So you will see how our protagonist will kill monster after monster, bedding a mare in every town he goes and then comes home to be declared a hero.

Wrong.

I put that in the prologue because that's whats their normally do and you won't see again anytime soon. This is a story, not a weekly show with a repetitive story line, were the enemy is always beat only in the last five minuets because they had to do something the other thirty minutes. I'm not looking at you House M.D. aka king of repetitive storytelling. (Don't get me wrong, I liked the show but you knew they only found the right answer in the last ten minutes of every episode.) So yes, the adventure tag is there because this in adventure even for a seasoned monster hunter. It's not like villains wait until the heroes are old enough to stop them, right? I have two of the six parts or one third of the story planned out so far. So you can guess there will be six enemies in dire need of being defeated. What else has My Little Pony six of, I can't seem to remember...

In Handy's defence, he's a highly strung individual, at least he keeps most of his swearing internal.
