The Armored Hero, Kamen Rider...Something · 9:03pm Jun 5th, 2015

The decision has been made, the Armored Hero now officially has a name. Thanks to all who made suggestions.
For any not aware, I introduced my story Kamen Rider EqG as an idea in the Crossover Group message board. It featured a call for help for anyone capable and willing to offer names to the assortment of new Riders this story will feature. The effort was successful, and I combined your ideas with mine for nine new Dragon Knight-style Kamen Riders. However, one small detail remains: the first new Rider I came up with (before I even had a story for him), the elusive "Armored Hero", is now the last and only one without an actual "Kamen Rider (...)" name, and I'd like to try again to fix that. I have a few ideas, but I'm not too thrilled with any of mine so far, so now I again ask for help from the public.
Rider Stats:
-his armor motif is of a medieval knight
-his Advent Beast is a horse wearing medieval horse armor (the actual animal, not a humanoid version)
I was thinking of having him be a "Kamen Rider (...) Knight" if at all possible, but it's not a requirement.
The final result, regardless of whose ideas are used, will be revealed in an upcoming chapter (probably Ch. 3), and this poll will be closed when I've made my decision.
how about Kamen Rider Guardian.
I think Kamen Rider Cid would be good. Cid for El Cid, the Castilian nobleman and knight in the Reconquista.

Okay, one day in, what've we got so far?
Guardian sounds like too broad an idea, and one that would better fit a Rider specifically designed for the name.
Cid and Boreas. As a rule of thumb, if it needs an explanation as to why the name is relevant, I'm worried it might be a bit too obscure for a general audience.
Cavalry just sounds too "plural" to be used for an individual as opposed to a group.
Cavalier, however. Now that one might work.
I'll keep this open longer to see what else I get.

Hmm, how do I explain this better..."Guardian" implies a larger overarching idea/expectation than this Rider is designed to live up to. A true "Kamen Rider Guardian" would be a super-powerful stand-alone hero protecting a large domain on some noble mission, whereas Dragon Knight Riders were always intended to be part of a team, the Armored Hero just doesn't have any allies yet.

Update: The Armored Hero's Rider name has been selected, and has been used to replace the placeholder in all notes for future chapters. Thank you all for your suggestions. Look forward for the big reveal of the winner during Chapter 3: Along the Watchtower.
