Mariusioannesp Speculates on the Rumored Episode List for Season 5 · 4:54am May 30th, 2015
Greetings, my Brony Brethren!
No new MLP this week or next week. So, this is a great time for me to endlessly speculate based on what little we really know. Today, I have chosen to talk about the supposed Leaked Episode List reported on by Equestria Daily. Now, since the next three episodes that were revealed match the next three on this list, Equestria Daily has taken it as confirmation that this list is genuine. I, though, still accept its genuineness with a hefty grain of salt. But that doesn’t mean I won’t speculate on what these episodes may be about. So, without further ado, here are my speculations on the possible episodes for the rest of Season 5 of MLP.

Since you all should have seen by now my reviews of Episodes 1 through 8 and I’ve already speculated on Episodes 9, 10, and, 11 here, I will start with this possible Episode 12.
12.Amending Fences
Hurm. Well, this title is a play on the term “mending fences” as well “making amends” I imagine. Sweet Apple Acres has fences. Might have something to do with Applejack or maybe Apple Bloom. I recall hearing somewhere that there would be an episode this season where Diamond Tiara would get some development. Perhaps we could see her end her feud with the Cutie Mark Crusaders. If she does, she will have some amends to make. Perhaps this is that episode.
13.Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?
Obviously, the title of this episode is a reference to the Philip K. Dick short story “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”, which was the basis for the classic film Blade Runner. This title is very intriguing. Could this perhaps be an episode dedicated entirely to Celestia and Luna, one for which that the fandom has been clamoring for some time? I really liked the Luna Micro-series comic, which focused solely on Celestia and Luna. I would equally enjoy an episode that looks like it could be similar to that.
It would be kind of a let down if it turns out the princess of the title is just Twilight Sparkle.
14.Canterlot Boutique
I remember seeing a video where the Maker herself Lauren Faust declared that she had a clear idea of the destinies of the Mane 6. Rainbow Dash was to become a Wonderbolt, Twilight was to become a princess and succeed Celestia, and Rarity was to open a boutique in Canterlot. Could this be the episode where Rarity gets that destined boutique in Canterlot? But wouldn’t that mean Rarity would be leaving Ponyville? I don’t know. Perhaps, she’ll realize Canterlot isn’t what it’s cracked up to be and return home. Perhaps, she just has to open the boutique in Canterlot and can return and run things from Ponyville. We can’t really know as of yet. But I imagine this is a Rarity episode. After having no Rarity episodes in Season 3, we got like three of them in Season 4. Three really good episodes. So, I’m always up for a Rarity episode.
15.Scare-Master
Clearly, this episode’s title refers back to Season 1’s “Stare Master”. So, I imagine it might have to do with Fluttershy and maybe her being scared of something. Really, another episode like that. I hope it’s better than “Filli Vanilli”.
16.Rarity Investigates
I imagine in this episode, Rarity is investigating something. What it is, I have no idea yet. But, as I said already, I’m always up for a Rarity episode.
17.Made in Manehattan
What do we have here? A title referencing Jennifer Lopez’s film Maid in Manhattan. (You know there’s also a telenovela based on that movie.) Anyway, Equestria Daily suggests this is the episode where we might see Coco Pommel again. The last time we saw Coco Pommel, it was in Manehattan. Wouldn’t be surprising seeing her there again. They also point to clues on Coco Pommel’s trading card.
Also, Tony-award winning Broadway star and fellow Pegasister Lena Hall is supposed to guest star in an episode this season. If this is indeed this season’s Coco Pommel episode and it involves her working on a musical, than who better to show up than an actual Broadway star.
This could be another Rarity episode, since the last episode that took place in Manehattan revolved around her. And she has a previous history with Coco Pommel. That would give Rarity possibly three episodes this season. She had three last season; wouldn’t be surprising if they kept that up. But maybe they could throw us for a loop and make it really about Applejack going to Manehattan and maybe Apple Bloom is with her and we get to see Babs Seed again.
18.Brotherhooves Social
Another title referencing a previous episode, this time Season 2’s “Sisterhooves Social”. I imagine this one should be like “Sisterhooves Social” except with brothers. Few of the main characters have brothers though. Applejack has Big Mac and Twilight has Shining Armor. Perhaps Applejack and Twilight get into a spat over which one of their older brothers is better and force them to compete against each other in a Brotherhooves Social. But what if perhaps this episode actually confirms the idea that Twilight sees Spike as a brother? This could be the episode I was hoping to see where Big Mac and Spike hang out and do the guy stuff Spike mentioned in the premiere.
19.Crusaders of the Lost Mark
Title’s an obvious reference to the film Raiders of the Lost Ark. I predicted last year after the end of Season 4 in a blog that this season would see the CMC get their cutie marks. I feel confident enough to predict that this will be the episode where the CMC get their cutie marks. It could be all at the same time like the Mane 6 in “The Cutie Mark Chronicles” because their destinies were linked. I say the CMC’s destinies are also linked.
20.The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows
So, I figure in this episode, Pinkie Pie knows something. That is all.
21.Hearthbreakers
With “Hearth” in the title, I surmise that is the Hearth’s Warming Eve episode that they said there would be. It has been said to feature a subsequent appearance by Maud Pie and possibly the rest of Pinkie’s family. G.M. Berrow, the author the MLP chapter books, is slated to write an episode this season. Pinkie’s family sans Maud was featured heavily in Berrow’s book Pinkie Pie and the Rockin’ Ponypalooza Party. I submit that if the Hearth’s Warming episode is supposed to feature Pinkie’s family, than it is the episode to be written by G.M. Berrow.
22.What About Discord?
A second slice of life Discord episodes in one season! Well, you can never have too much Discord, I say. I look forward to the answer to the question in the title.
23.The Hooffields and Mccolts
I admit that is a very clever title. It’s a clear allusion to the legendary Hatfield-McCoy feud that tore up West Virginia and Kentucky in the late 19th Century. There was a History channel miniseries about it. Anyway, I get the sense this will not only be an Applejack episode, but also a cutie map episode. I believe the cutie map will call Applejack to solve a feud between the titular Hoofields and Mccolts. (Another pony may be called by the map as well; we’re still not too clear as to how it works.) My hope is that this will be kind of a serious episode given a feud may be at the center of it. Maybe with a little Romeo and Juliet-type romance plotline added for good measure. I know it can be trite, but I still like it. I say Applejack may be the subject of this episode because the Hatfield-McCoy feud is a big piece of the history of rural America, and Applejack is MLP’s token rural pony.
24.The Mane Attraction
I figure since it has “Mane” in the title that this one may be about manes and hair. Or because it’s a pun on the term “main attraction”, it might have something to do with a show. Can’t know as of yet.
25.26.The Cutie Remark Part 1 and 2
Meghan McCarthy mentioned in one of the Season 5 promo videos that with the right kind of magic, a pony can use the cutie map to do other things than it normally does. Back in the Season 5 premiere, Pinkie Pie vaguely mentions the map to Starlight Glimmer, and Starlight was particularly interested in Twilight’s cutie mark. My prediction for this episode is that Starlight Glimmer returns and uses her magic to hijack the cutie map in order to steal the cutie marks from everypony in Equestria. That does have the potential to become a retread of the premiere, but my hope is that they will be doing something with it that we can’t expect at the moment. Or perhaps Starlight will just steal Twilight’s cutie mark and give it to herself and use it for some nefarious purpose. Either could be the “Re-mark” of the title. Either way, I see Starlight Glimmer returning for the finale, making her MLP’s first real recurring villain. The honor couldn’t go to a better villain. Now, I have hoped and predicted in the past that perhaps this season’s finale villain would be FIM’s take on Grogar. Perhaps he could still be if Starlight’s evil plan involves him somehow in some way I can’t quite imagine as of yet. I did believe I spotted a goat skull on a mountain in one of the corners of the cutie map that I suspected was Grogar’s. As for Starlight Glimmer’s ultimate fate if she proves to the be villain here, I imagine she will be reformed by the end. That might still seem like a bit of a let down though since we've seen it before with Nightmare Moon, Sunset Shimmer, and Trixie. Plus, she was the first villain to escape and not be defeated. Seeing her straight up die (to the best of the show’s ability considering standards and practices and such) or escape once more to fight another day would at least be different. I lean towards that.
So these are my speculations for the rest of the season based on what may this season’s episode titles. What to do you all think we’re going to see on MLP based on this?

Like you, I'm taking that list with a grain of salt. But its credibility has shown through so far but I guess, as always, we'll have to wait and see how the rest of the season plays out.
I'd definitely be up for seeing DIamond Tiara get some development. It's about time she got some in the right direction, if you ask me.
Yeah, it would be disappointing if the episode took the easy route and just focused on Twilight. I'm all for an episode focusing on Celestia and Luna. Then again, the episode could also focus on all four princesses.
I have pretty much the same idea about this episode as you. Like you, I'm always up for a Rarity episode. She may not be my favorite pony but her track record, when it comes to the quality of her episodes, is pretty solid IMO.
I guess this episode could focus on Fluttershy. Aside from that, I really have no idea about what to expect from this episode.
This could potentially be another map episode. Aside from the obvious guess of Rarity investigating something, I've got nothing else to add.
I'm all for either scenarios you presented. I'd love to see Coco Pommel or Babs Seed again. Coco's already been confirmed but I'm still holding out for Babs. Though, I think it would be weird to have so many Rarity episodes clustered together. Then again, Season 2 had two Rainbow Dash episodes back-to-back so this wouldn't be anything new.
Again, I love all the scenarios you presented. Big Mac needs more screen time and I'd really like to see Shining Armor again. And I'm always happy to see a Spike episode.
I'm definitely ready for the CMC to get their cutie marks. That way, we could see these characters break away from the cutie mark-hunting status quo for good and continue to develop even further. I also think this could potentially see the return of Starlight Glimmer, possibly in a background role or something.
This title confuses me a bit. The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows? Shouldn't it be The One Who Pinkie Pie Knows? Or maybe I'm having a grammar fail moment or something. Maybe Pinkie decides to tell her friends about the 4th wall and MLP transcends the boundaries of space and time as we know it. Or Pinkie just knows something. Whatevah.
This definitely most likely going to be the Pinkie Pie family/Hearth's Warming episode that was talked about. It's about time we got to know the rest of Pinkie's family more, if you ask me.

Maybe this episode sees the return of the Mane-iac, who's escaped the comic realm and has taken on a secret identity in Equestria? That would be interesting to see.
As with every finale, there's certainly a lot to speculate about. I definitely think that we'll see Starlight again. Her stealing Twilight's cutie mark sounds like a very good potential story given how much Starlight was interested in Twilight's cutie mark in the premiere. I'd also be up to seeing Grogar. MLP's been pretty good at reinventing its G1 villains so far IMO. Going back to Starlight, I'm also hoping that we see her either get defeated or have her simply escape to fight another day. Unlike Discord, Trixie, Sunset, and Gilda; Starlight doesn't really give off a "potential redemption" vibe. Then again, I guess it all comes down to execution.
I suppose this could be a cutie map episode.
And remember last season came to an end with like two Spike episodes in a row.

The Mane-iac.
I admit that possibility didn't cross my mind at all. Perhaps. You know last year's MLP annual featured a short comic where The Mane-iac travels to an Equestria Girls-type world and meets her human doppelganger.
