Last Week's Answers: Nightmare Moon (obvious), the Crystal Empress (MY EYES!), the Phoenix Queen (REDACTED), and the Twilight of the Gods (...hmm, nothing here...). As to reasons, I'm only giving those half points for Luna and Cadance. If I gave points for Celestia and Twilight, I might inadvertently spoil events to come.
Also nice try with the Applejack stuff, but our feisty farmer is no alicorn princess.

This Week's Question;
As Sweetie Belle grows, she gains new friends and an extended family. She also has two very different teachers, one to teach her COUGH and another to teach her WHEEZE. Sorry, I have a cold. Anyway, who are these intelligent instructors and what subjects do they teach? Each name gets you half a point while the subject gets you another half.
One is her unicorn father, Cresendo. He's a professor at the university that Sweetie Belle is enrolled in, the Fillydelphia School of Arts. Obviously Sweetie Belle was not aware that Crescendo was her father until after she confronted him after she fainted. His natural pink mane as well as his green eyes are two significant traits that he gave to Sweetie Belle. (Also the horn, though both Crescendo and Rarity are unicorns so it could be from either one.) Also it is why her cutie mark is a single eight note (Before you mention anything about Vinyl Scratch being a long-lost relative to Sweetie Belle, slow your role. Main thing is that Vinyl's cutie mark is two eighth notes connected by a bar, while Sweetie's is just a note with the flag.) Cresendo's is similar.
The second teacher that Sweetie Belle has is Professor Pentameter. She is a Earth Pony mare that is teaching musical theory. The reason that Pentameter is now Sweetie's professor is because Crescendo, being her biological father, would represent a significant conflict of interest to Sweetie's schooling. He still keeps a eye on Sweetie, though, as a father.
Also Crescendo speaks Ancient unicorn fluently (we humans know it as Latin. Yes, the dead language. I have to say though that it is a interesting trait of Crescendo. And it makes sense, a lot of musical terms are from Latin. It's also really cool to be able to curse out someone completely and the recepient doesn't know what he's saying. Cracks me up, though

Professor Crescendo teachers her singing and ancient unicorn. Later on when he finds out Sweeite Belle is his daughter, he helps with her magic studies when Twilight--her magic tutor--asks him to.
Professor Pentameter later becomes her chief instructor for singing.

there's her father, crescendo, who originally was her music theory teacher, but after finding out she was his daughter, he had to transfer her to another teacher to avoid favoritism. i do believe he is teaching her in ancient unicorn and in magic now though.
then there's professor pentameter, sweetie's new music teacher after the transfer.
