I tried so hard to sound posh in my writing that I'm actually a bit embarrassed from reading it just now. I can't believe that that's the first impression I've been giving people. 
New chapter to An Expedition coming soon, my name change, and a (non)conflict with FiM canon. · 10:43am May 17th, 2015
I'll start with the name change, because I know that's what you all care about, right? No? Well, however you feel about it, I don't plan on doing it again, since i nabbed what must have been the coolest name left available. But on to more important things... (Yes, I just called pony fanfiction important and I'm not going to apologize for it.)
I finished the first draft of this next chapter which I'll be spending a good bit of today editing and hopefully have up sometime this coming week (or maybe even today if I edit like a maniac), but that's only of secondary concern. The main thing I want to address is the most recent new episode of FiM, the reason for that being because it might seem to conflict with the first chapter of my story for the especially vigilant.
Basically it's this: One of the reasons for Fluttershy wanting to bring somepony with her in An Expedition is because her last expedition to see the breezies was so lonely. In the most recent episode, Fluttershy reveals that she met Treehugger on that very expedition. My resolution? She met Treehugger and other members of the ESPRC beforehand but they didn't partake on the expedition together. Is it elegant? No. But it works.
With that out of the way, you may return to your regularly scheduled whatever.
Looking forward to it, this really is one of the best written Flutterdash stories out there. And the conflict with canon is a total non-issue in my opinion.

3075433 You're probably right about the canon conflict, though I am still paranoid that something else will emerge that will contradict the lore behind my story. The season five premiere already broke the lore I originally had planned for the island, but it actually spurred me to come up with a new lore that I think is even better.
As for the editing proposal, that sounds great! When I'm finished with the editing , I'll send you a PM with the link to the unpublished chapter and the password.
3076953 To be safe, you could always just pick a particular episode or season and say the story is canon with the show up to that point. Granted, my lack of concern is partly due to my growing dissatisfaction with the later seasons, but that's a different topic entirely.
In any case, my recommendation is to just use whatever you think helps the story, and not worry too much about everything else.
