    Extremely sad news.

Hey everyone. Drew Olson, AKA CanterlotGuardian, is no longer with us. I just found out last night that he died. I don't know many details, but I know he was sick and in the hospital.

I really don't know what else to say...

Edit: I just found out that he died of a blood clot in his lung.

Booping around in my Google docs.

And I went over an old story of mine. The one I tagged for this blog. Til Death do us Part. I have been wanting to write for the last couple of weeks or so, but cannot for the life of me get anything out of my head for Reflections. As I am reading over this story though, I think I now know where it is going to go. So, be on the lookout for another chapter in this story, hopefully within the next

Something I started while at work. · 2:18am May 15th, 2015

The wind blew cold, through the dark recesses of his mind. This wasn't a place where he ventured often, due to the places it took him when he did. However, this visit was, to put it mildly, unique. He was here, not to indulge in the thoughts that he knew he could never act on, as he so often had, but to put them to rest, to rid himself of the voice that had come close to pulling him under on so many occasions.

A sigh left him, as he ventured further in. This was the place that he had fought so many battles over, came so close to giving in, the place that no one besides himself knew of, the place that he had kept him locked up and chained away in for so long.

Who is him, you may be wondering. That is a tale that has it's start in his early years.

He was a young boy, a baby almost, when darkness planted it's seed inside him. Growing up from a young age in a dysfunctional family, his life was unstable and insecure from the start. His father had no time or patience for him, and his mother, while loving and kind, had her own problems that frequently caused her to make poor choices.
His parents left each other when he was five, but his problems hardly started there. His father, in his immaturity and impatience, yelled at the boy often. It also didn't help that his father cared more about his friends and what they thought of him rather than the boy.
It was this, at a young age, that caused the earliest damage to him. The boy would constantly go to his father because the next door kid, who was the kid of one the father's friends, would constantly be mean to him.

When the boy would go to his father, he would be told to stand up for himself, to fight back, but the boy didn't want to do these things. He didn't want to hurt anyone as a way of stopping them from hurting him. So, the neighbor kid went on unhindered in hurting the boy.

It only made things worse for the boy, when another son of one of his father's friends was visiting one day, and proceeded to take the boy under the boy's bed, and touch him in places that were never meant to be touched at that age. That day is the day when seeds of darkness were well and truly ingrained in him, as it not only caused soul inflicting damage in the present, but would have far flung effects long into the future of the boy's life.

As a result of that day, the boy acted out what was done to him on the neighbors son, the same kid that would treat him meanly. The boy didn't understand the reaction from his parents and and the other kid's parents when they were found in the backyard, inserting objects into each other.

It was shortly after that that the boy's parents divorced. It was also in the timeframe that the boy's grandfather died, one of the few people from the boy's father's side of the family that truly cared for him. Thankfully, the boy was spared from a lot of pain he would have otherwise felt, due to him being only five years of age at the time, though it would still cause many problems later on his in life.

The boy and his mother went to live in a shelter after the divorce. The boy being as young as he was, didn't understand why he couldn't see his daddy like he wanted to. After they left the shelter, the boy and his mom moved to a house in the ghetto, where they lived for only a short time. In that short span, they were broken into 20 times, with money, possessions, and peace of mind all being taken from them.

It was also during this time that the boy's mother met the first person she would be involved with since her divorce. He was a young man, about 10 years younger than the boy's mother. This man was kind to the boy. He introduced the boy to RPG video games, which the boy would be enthralled with for the rest of his life.

However, due to the problems stemming from the age difference between the man and the boy's mother, the relationship didn't last.

The boy also struggled in school due to the emotional damage he suffered in his short life up to this point. The boy did not understand, but he acted out in school, which led to him being placed in special education classes eventually. The boy also acted out on animals in the way that he himself was touched, which was something he would not come terms with until adulthood.

Time went on, and the boy grew older. He was no longer a little kid, but not yet a teen. By this time, the boy had already come to expect abuse and bullying from his classmates. The boy also moved a lot, which hindered him making friends. Due to being outcast and picked on, the boy would retreat to the fantasy worlds of books and video games, where he could dream and get away from the real world, if only for a time.

It was around this time that his mother met another man. This man was the same age as the boy's mother, and quite different from the man the boy's mother was previously with. This man was initially kind to the boy.

It was in this same time that the boy's mother decided to move out of state. The boy did not want to leave and so stayed behind to live with his dad. At this point in the boy's life, his father was still an impatient person. This of course caused problems for the boy.

Just a couple months later, the boy had gotten into an argument with his father, which ended with his dad dragging him into his room, throwing him onto his bed, and proceeding to yell at him for half an hour. The next day, the boy called his mom's mom, and she helped him to get of his father's house.

The boy then moved out to New Mexico, which is where his mother had moved to, along with the man she met before she moved.

What was your inspiration for this?

I kinda relate to it in a way, my life was kinda similar. Especially the part about the video games and books.

...I see.
Where the fuck have you been, boy? It's been, like, over a week since your ugly ass popped up on Skype.

3070854 That is all from my life.
