So, most of you know that I wrote this kinky little one-shot called "New Neighbor". You know, that second-person thing where you help out Rarity and get to make out with her in return? Thing is, I got that idea from a Facebook scenario a while back. This MLP group I'm in had a post on it, featuring the screenshot that became the cover pic for the fic, and in it, the scene was as follows:
you're walking on the sidewalk as you are about to head home. When you approach your door, you hear a "Yoo hoo!" and turn around to see Rarity with this look on her face (see pic). She says, "Would you please carry my groceries to my home, please?" (her home right across from yours) She then says, "If you do help me, how about we go out Friday night?"
Would you do it?
I just took the concept, added to it, tweaked it a bit, and this is what I came up with.
I never thought for a minute that it would get 74 likes, over 800 views, and become my third-highest-ranked story on the site.
Really, I'm shocked at that. I thought it would just sink into obscurity (especially after what I've done to Rarity in the past 
). But as it turns out, all I really need to do to maximize rating potential is to avoid putting my stories in certain groups (I'm still rather unfairly disliked by some).
But most of all, I have you, my readers and followers, to thank for this surprising turnout. With a few more views, it'll have a clean 1,000 and be my fourth story to do so, and with a few more likes, this could very well be my best fic to date ("One More Dance" has some strong competition!)
